Filipino nationalist José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda was active at the end of
the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines. He was also a writer and inventor. He is
revered as the Philippines' national hero. He is one of the most renowned characters in
Philippine history (1861–1896). His political writings, which spurred the Philippine revolt
and ultimately led to his execution by the Spanish invaders, made him a versatile intellectual

2. What is your reason for asking or saying those things to Rizal?

The reason why I asked those things to Dr. Rizal is, that the life of the youth today was so
different than before. Just like some youth nowadays, they always have time to use gadgets
and play mobile games than having time to study.

3. Why do you think you need to study the life and works of Rizal?
To appreciate the significance of Rizal's principles and teachings in light of the social trends
and issues of the day. Also, it promotes the use of these ideas in solving current social and
personal difficulties and issues. Lastly, to gain a greater appreciation for and comprehension
of all Rizal sacrificed his life for.
