Friends Unit. We recently
learned about Julia Child
and her impact on
cooking. We contacted a
local chef who teaches
kids how to cook. We had
her come into the
classroom, and she led
the students to make
banana sushi with
Nutella and sunflower
butter. This allowed
students to apply what
they were learning about
chefs and get the chance
to get hands-on that chef
experience. The Chef who
came into our classroom
sent out a newsletter for
our parents, and we
made sure they received
