ADJ Focus Spot 5Z Review

In recent years, the trend of

making intricate stage designs
has transitioned to creating
lighting centric stage set ups.
With that, the need for fixtures
that are reliable yet able to create
many looks has become a
necessity. Of the style fixtures to
incorporate into a lighting rig,
profile fixtures offer a wide variety
of looks, making it popular for
series/seasonal stage flips. In my
career in lighting, profile fixtures
have been some of my favorite
fixtures to incorporate for
powerful worship experiences.
Unfortunately, with variety comes
cost…

Though there are many “cheap” profiles, I have

not personally found many to be of quality
until now... the Spot 5Z is looking Promising.
...and cost often times is way over
the production budget for
churches. Though there are many
“cheap” profiles, I have not

quality. I’m happy to report, ADJ has
created a fixture that offers power,
variety and is also cost effective: Let

for testing. The three different
platforms had fixture profiles
ready to patch and everything
functioned as expected.
