What is the significance of the nationalism of the Filipinos from the Spanish era to today’s
society? Write in 5 sentences.

The rise of nationalism among the Filipinos during Spanish era ignited the force to act and be on
our own feet without the fear of oppression and silence from the people with power above.
With our today’s country continuing to fight for its betterment and aim to have a political,
social, and economic freedom – Nationalism can be seen in everywhere and every people’s
devotion towards our land to achieve the voice we loudly want to be heard. As Filipinos grow
and live the present and past, we have, nationalism provided solidity in everyone firming on
their beliefs and stand. Resulting in unification and independence of us and our country to
sought what our land deserves to be in to. This made the Filipinos fierce and built democracy
that later on made us even up to know, always reminding ourselves, that us – the Filipinos and
its home country is one with its people.
