Lilibeth Barrios Contreras gives a speech about her college experience. She initially disliked her classmates but learned to appreciate them over time. Some teachers she enrolled in early on she hated, but she had wonderful teachers who made her love languages. While she will not miss late night classes or fighting with administrators, she will miss being part of her classmates' lives and growing together with them as people and professionals.

As soon as I met my classmates, I knew that the next four years
of my life would be a disaster. Since I saw them enter the classroom door I could feel how I would hate them and I did, I was not wrong at all, however, over time, one appreciates people. If I had the opportunity to turn back time, I would change many things, including some teachers with whom I, unfortunately, enrolled in some subjects when I was in my first semesters, I hate them and I will always hate them, but well everything was not negative and I had the opportunity to meet wonderful teachers who love their work and made me love languages and that is what brought me here today, some of those teachers are no longer working at the university but I am sure that if they had the opportunity to see me here today they would be very proud of everything I have achieved since they have always supported my classmates and me. Never have I considered myself a caring person, but today writing this speech I want to thank all the people who supported me, my mom, my aunt, and my boyfriend they are very special to me. Hardly will I miss receiving classes until eight at night, fighting with the head of the department, or the horrible classrooms, but something I will miss is feeling part of the lives of my classmates, crying together, and growing together as people and professionals.
