What is your educational experience and how the library and it and its resources helped

you cope up in the new learning set-up?

Our education system has faced an unparalleled health crisis that has traumatized its

foundation due to COVID-19 pandemic. To mitigate the adverse impact of the pandemic on

education specifically on access with conventional library, the Perpetual e-library has been

adopted. This is to bring students, faculty’s staff, and other affiliates of university community

with equal access to relevant information in digital arrangements. Undeniably, the e-library has

made our learning experience more interesting and have acquired the status of intellectually

organized information source, a world of knowledge at Perpetualites’ fingertips. So, is e-library

as effective? Definitely yes!

My judgments are based on my own experiences. E-library serves as an effective guide to

me in learning and research process. An energy house where knowledge, ideas and directions are

generated. It made my study routine easier and make the academic process more effective,

efficient and less time consuming because all written scripts are converted to digital formats. It

covers all the major domains of Nursing with section on issues and topics which allows us

students to cast a critical eye on the research process. An integrated online resource with a broad

range of content that covers the entire span of nursing practice. It is organized around a set of

Nursing core topics and updated automatically. It also gives user-friendly interfaces, giving

clickable access to all of its resources. E-library has no physical limits, I can get information 24

hours, I can access the e-library using my own device anywhere and anytime. E-library also

allows multiple access to an information source making it easier to search for information by

keywords, preservation and conservation data, digitization clear up the writing in books or other
printed reading sources, and information is more easily accessed. Same resources can be used at

the same time by a lot of students which is called multiple access. It provides us the right to use

much richer content in a more structured manner. For example, I can easily move from one

particular catalog to another particular chapter because it has the power to create a link in a very

convenient way.

By using digital library, I can find an information that I need with no trouble. I also

appreciate the space it provided to store the collections because it provides more space not only

the collections storing purpose but also any data. Evidently our digital library has a big storage

capacity and has the capability to synchronize the collection and any other information into one

big storage. I stand to believe that collection quality is timeless. The preservation is not only for

the digital collections itself but also for the printed collections. The printed collections can be

made into the digital form through digitization and digitization can preserve the old collections

into digital form so it can be saved into a digital storage before it is started to be unreadable.

Indeed, this new hybrid model of education has significant benefits for me as a student,

the integration of information technology in education is further accelerated and that online has

become an integral component of school education by collecting and preserving records of

human knowledge and creativity, and helping us students and other users connect to resources.

The Perpetual e-library has an extensive collection of online resources, including a continually

growing collection of ebooks, electronic journals, streaming videos, and databases which are

very essential to my chosen field as a student. E-library helps us to prepare and succeed in the

wide-ranging and exciting course I have chosen, enabling me to become skilled, flexible and

confident future nurse for modern healthcare demands.
