BUSINESS PLAN
“MELTING HAPPINESS”

COMPANY BACKGROUND

Melting Happiness is a School Based startup business that will manufacture Mango Graham Ice
Candy as an alternative commercialized dessert and will distributed to wholesalers and retailers in
MORMS. We choose this product because since the mango graham cake is popular and it is one
of the favorite desserts of teachers and students so that we come up to the idea in making an ice
candy version of mango graham cake because of our season. This is located at MORMS.

THE PROPONENT

Our product focuses on providing an affordable, nutritious mango graham ice candy. Our product
fits nicely in promoting good nutrition. We want our flavored ice candy as affordable as possible.
The affordable healthy and nutritious ice candy consumed boosts students and teachers energy,
can cool them down, stress reliever and increases the rate of relaxation.

Mango graham ice candy is a good product to sell because of its low cost and the ability to give
you a big indulgence. Ice candy is one of the alternative desserts. There are many people who
sometimes cannot afford to buy or make expensive desserts, that's why we thought of selling ice
candy because even students can afford it.

THE ORGANIZATION

The "Melting Happiness” is a small starting business aiming to achieve success in this vast
business world. It is established by young entrepreneurs of Marcial O. Rañola Memorial School
particularly grade 12 HUMSS-C students. The backbone of this starting business are; Jambi
Lagonoy as the Manager, Vina Rodrigueza for Accounting, Meryl Denise Vibar and Diana Padua
for General Management, and Sean Moral as Marketing Officer.

Jambi was assigned as a manager of the group , she was tasked with keeping the workplace
organized and efficient both for herself and for her team. Managers just don't go out and
haphazardly perform their responsibilities. As a manager of the business, Jambi was assigned to
the following jobs: Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Leading, and Controlling. She is not only as a
manager, but also a planner, organizer, cheerleader, coach, problem solver, and decision maker —
all rolled into one. Vina is in-charge for the position of accounting, and her responsibility is to
collect and analyze the financial information of our business to create financial report. Meryl and
Diana are in charge of managing the company's entire operations while increasing output and

revenue. They are responsible for managing a variety of aspects of the business's operating and
maintaining budgets. Sean is responsible for creating, planning, and carrying out strategic
marketing plans for an entire group in order to attract in new clients and keep hold of current ones.

OBJECTIVES

- Provide an healthy desserts or snacks for kids and health conscious teachers.

- To satisfy your cravings for just buying a 10 pesos Mango Graham Ice Candy.

- To let our costumers enjoy our product that suits their needs in all season.

- To provide good bond with ice filled with fruit flavors that will fit to the budget of the students.

- To relieve stress and fatigue of students and teachers.

THE PRODUCT

Ice candy is one of the most favorite summer traits of Filipinos. It is a frozen juice(or smoothie) in
a plastic like pop ice. The only difference is that ice candy is home made from fresh fruits, though
there are some that you can buy from sari-sari (variety) stores that are made from artificial friut
flavoring.

In the Philippines, ice candy come in different flavors. Most common are orange, mango, buko,
avocado, melon, grape, and chocolate.

Beyond every reasonable doubt, ice candy business is indeed a profitable business because you
can operate the business with your family members from your garage or a kiosk in front of your
yard thereby cutting operational cost to the barest minimum.

As a matter of fact, ice candy business could be a way to earn additional income for your family
especially if you have other business that you are doing. It is a business that wouldn’t take much
of your time if you have a sales girl or sales boy or even if you have your own vending machine
strategically located where people can easily purchase ice candies.

This business is came from our group idea, because we wanted to provide a product that would
satisfy customers in the hot weather and be reasonably priced for all students and teachers. With
its sweet and savory taste of ice candy, it is a cool and sweet delicacy that will make you feel
better.

BENEFITS

Ice candy is one the best treat for hot summer days. These ice candies are simply to make, without
any added preservatives and coloring food flavors. Pure healthy ice candy for kids. It also has milk
that gives calcium and vitamin D for our stronger bones and vitamin C an antioxidant that helps
protect your cells against the effects of free radicals. and can give you a total refreshing feeling.

TARGET MARKET

The product is suited for everyone, especially students and teachers.

MARKETING MIX

The brand "Melting Happiness" has a catchy name, and customers may actually

following their consumption of the product. Our product has good quality in terms of flavor. In
pricing, a reasonable price will be placed on our product where it is still affordable. Our customers
will be our promoters, where they will serve as our advertisers through their testimonies with
regards to our product.

IMPLEMEMTATION

Melting Happiness will start operating this month (October), ice candy product is still suitable
because even though it's bermonths, the weather is still hot in Bicol especially in Albay. Mango
graham ice candy provides good bond with ice filled with fruit flavor that will fit to the budget of
the students and teachers. We will start operating in this month to let out customers enjoy our
product that suits their needs in all season.

COMPETITION

Sweet Flavours like ice cream , salad , halo-halo and ice candy aims to satisfy the consumers with
its taste and refreshing flavors. Our main goal is to let our consumers appreciate the quality of our
product and compare whether we had the better lead toward our competitor.
