Visualization of the microscopic structure of the foam: expansion of the foam in an inward radial
flow turbine (3,000 revs/min) for 2 min – solution at 0.1% a.m. in hard water – 40°C/ pH7

PROTEOL APL generates a thick foam, produced through the

formation of small, tightly packed bubbles.

GENTLE ON THE SKIN
1- Clinical evaluation: measurement of transepidermal water loss

In vivo test: application of an occlusive patch for 48 hrs on 16 volunteers – Doses tested: SLES at
7% a.m. / SLES + PROTEOL APL (7%/ 3% a.m.) – Measurement of TWL 2 hrs and 24 hrs following
removal of the patch – TWL measured between the area treated for 48 hrs in the occlusive patch
test and an untreated area

PROTEOL APL has an anti-drying effect that respects the skin

barrier. In combination with SLES, it reduces transepidermal
water loss (TWL)
