I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of the use of tools
and equipment in Nail Care Services.
B. Performance Standards The learner independently uses nail care tools and
equipment in Nail Care Servicing.
C. Learning Competencies/ LO. 1 Prepare the necessary tools and equipment for the
Objectives specific Nail Care Activity.
1.1 Classify the tools and equipment used in nail care
D. Specific Objectives: 1.Classify different nail care tools and equipment
2. Discuss different nail care tools and equipment according
to its classification.
3. Aware on the classification of tools and equipment use in
nail care services.
IV. PROCEDURE
A. Review Have you been to a salon? What have you observed? Are
you familiar with the different things they are using? Can
you name some?
B. Motivation Text Twist: In this activity, the students will form a word
out of the given letters written on the board.
C. Presentation Based on what you have done earlier, what do you think is
our lesson for today?

F. Application With the pictures posted on the board the students will
classify if it is a tool, material or equipment.
G. Generalization What are tools?
What are equipments?
Why do we need to be aware on the classification of tools

Based on the video presented the students will be assigned
to report on the class according to the task assigned to
them.
Divide the students into 3 groups
Group I-give the uses of different tools
Group II- the uses of different materials
Group III- Uses of different equipments

IV. PROCEDURE
A. Review How do we handle a clipper?
B. Motivation
Guessing Game: on the board are the different categories
posted for the students to choose from. Each category has
corresponding words in scrambled form which they need to
guess correctly.

in a piece of cartolina.
Group III – Given the actual PPE, the students will choose
two representatives to demonstrate how to use each PPE
