PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
1. Mere issue of Admit Card to the candidate will not imply that his candidature has been finally cleared by the Indian Navy.
2. NO REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN EXAMINATION CENTRE WILL BE CONSIDERED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. OWN
ARRANGEMENTS ARE TO BE MADE FOR BOARDING AND LODGING.
3. The Candidates must bring coloured printouts of the Admit Card at the Examination Centre. No candidate will be allowed entry without
this Hall Ticket. The candidate is also required to bring the original copy of Aadhar Card as well as one of the photo identification card in
original viz. Class X/XII Certificate with photograph, Domicile Certificate with photograph, Voter Identity Card, Driving License, or PAN
Card, which the candidate has mentioned during the online registration process. In case your details do not match the Identity proof
submitted at the time of the exam, you will not be allowed to write the exam and your candidature shall stand cancelled. It is mandatory to
produce original copy of the Aadhar card of the candidate, for verification.
4. Sponsor candidates and NCC 'C' certificate holders, shall be exempted INET exam and shall be issued call-up to appear for Stage II
- selection process, subject to proper verification of Sponsor/ NCC 'C' certificate, as applicable. Sponsor candidates and NCC 'C' certificate
holders are required to report to the designated examination center for document verification, recording of biometrics and attendance,
failing which, their candidature shall be cancelled. The original certificates of the candidates shall be verified at each stage of the
recruitment process and in case of any discrepancy in the documents/ mismatch in the information declared, the candidature shall be
cancelled. You will not be eligible to appear in another shift on the same date or any other date, if absent from the scheduled shift.
5. The candidates appearing in the entrance examination should, in their own interest, check their eligibility in all respect so as to avoid
disappointment at any later stage. Your candidature for the entrance examination is "PURELY PROVISIONAL". In case, it is found that the
candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria, candidature of such candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage.
6. Possession and use of electronic devices such as Mobile Phone, Micro Phone, Headphone, Bluetooth device or any other Associated
Accessories, ornaments, any type of metallic items, Calculator, Log Tables, Pager, Digital Diary Books, etc., are strictly prohibited in the
Examination Hall. If any candidate is found to be in possession of any of these devices/ documents his candidature is liable to be cancelled.
As such the candidates should not bring Mobile Phone/ Micro Phone etc at the Examination Centre. There is no safekeeping or locker
arrangement for candidates’ belongings. The Indian Navy will not be responsible for its safe custody.
7. The Examination shall consist of multiple choice objective questions of 60 minutes duration. Questions and answers will be available in
English and Hindi only.
9. The Indian Navy shall have the discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the sections of the examination.
10. Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall for any reason, before examination end time.
11. Candidates should not “copy and paste” details of admit cards. Admit card is to be printed in the same format.
12. Candidate is to paste a recent photograph next to the printed photo and sign in the blank space given below. Signature of the candidate
in the blank space provided, must be in presence of the exam centre invigilator and not done prior by the candidate
13. Wallets, purses and watches are not to be carried inside examination centres. IN will not bear responsibility of any items.
14. Candidates called for Stage II shall be required to carry the same Admit Card, along with the Admit Card for Stage II. Candidates not
carrying the same, shall not be permitted to appear in the Stage II process.
15. Kindly bring your Aadhaar card to the Examination Centre for verification.

Online Test Instructions
1. Do not close the browser any time during the test.
2. Check your Name, Hall Ticket Number and Photograph as displayed on the screen. In case of any discrepancy, report the same to the
Invigilator immediately.
3. Ensure that you have affixed the recent colour photograph and signed the attendance sheet brought by the invigilators during the exam.
You are to record the Session ID on the attendance sheet. Any unrecorded Session ID corresponding to a candidate will not be considered
for evaluation and all response on that unrecorded Session ID will be treated as null and void.
4. System would notify the candidate about the start of exam. Candidate should click on Start Examination button immediately after
receiving the notification or instruction on the instruction page.
5. Paper has 100 objective-type questions. Each objective-type question has four choices of which only one is correct. Candidate should
select the radio button given below the question corresponding to his/her correct choice.
7. Duration of paper is 60 minutes. You are not allowed to leave the examination hall before the completion of exam. If you stand up during
the examination or found talking with other candidates during the examination then your candidature will be cancelled
8. On clicking the Start Examination button given at the bottom of the instructions page, you will be directed to the question display screen.
10. You can navigate through questions using scroll bar or directly scroll through the question number grid. The questions can be answered
in any order within the given time frame
11. The timer is available on the TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER of the screen; you are requested to keep a tab on it to ensure that you plan
your exam within the allocated time.
12. Exam screen contains the following buttons with functionality as specified below:

Clicking on this button will open the instructions for the exam. After reading the instructions candidate has
View Instructions to click on ‘Continue with Examination’ button to move back to the questions interface.
In case you are not sure about the answer, you may use Mark For Review to mark the question for a later
attempt. It will be shown with “?” against the question (in the question number grid). If the question has

been answered and has been marked for review, then “?” will be displayed against the question in the
question number grid.
Clear Answer The button will clear the option marked and the question will be shown as un-answered
This button will submit the examination, and the Examination will be ended. Once the Examination gets

13. The statistics of attempted and un-attempted questions is shown in the left side of the screen. You can click on any of the attempted
ones to revise the answers in case you wish to do so.
14. Questions which are attempted and marked for review would be treated as attempted questions only as long as the candidate does not
clear the option selected.
15. The candidate can choose to unmark his answer by clicking the CLEAR Answer button provided at the bottom of the screen.

16. You have been provided with one A4 size sheet for rough work. You must record your Name, Hall Ticket Number and Session ID on
the rough sheet. Please make sure to return the rough sheet to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.
18. The Exam would be auto – submitted in case time has elapsed for the paper, even if the candidate does not click on Submit

19. Calculators, Mobile Phones, Pagers and electronic devices in any form are not allowed to be used in the Exam Hall. If you have any
such device or other prohibited material, you must deposit the same even at this stage. Candidates will be disqualified if found indulging in
any kind of malpractice like, using electronic device, talking, impersonation (proxy candidate) etc.
20. Any candidate found in possession of any unauthorised material (specified in Para 7 of the Important Instructions above) or indulging in
copying or impersonation or adopting unfair means shall entail disciplinary action including cancellation of candidature.
21. Candidate must not bring any pen/pencil/eraser/paper/cardboard/writing board/pencil-box/bag to the examination centre.
