Through the Rosary - Our Lady of the
Holy Rosary bring the union and
flames of Tranquility
The Campus Youth Ministry of Academia de San Diego’s started off the
day through a culminating activity in honor of the celebration in
Tanghalan ni Maria. Mr. Ken Daniel Oracion gave a brief introduction
about Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Everyone put genuinely their
presence in the doxology led by the LDL Dance Troupe followed by the
opening remarks that came from our school principal, Ms. Christine
Mijares. She mentioned that praying rosary is a good habit. With the
instructions given by the CYM Adviser, Ms. Liann Rondolo, she
elaborated the whole flow and goal of this activity before the pilgrimage.
It is a devotional practice consisting of a prolonged journey that has
wander continuously the 4 fixed destinations assigned to the groups of
students forming a way of cross. Images of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary,
Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Our Lady of Lourdes and Mary, Help of
Christians resembled in an ornate, elaborate float made called as paso
that are carried aloft during the pilgrimage. All the students lined up and
prayed with their designated groups for the Pilgrimage Procession. Point
A was assigned to pray the rosary of the Joyful Mysteries going to Brgy.
San Diego; Point B of the Sorrowful Mysteries going to Brgy. San
Antonio; Point C of the Glorious Mysteries going to Brgy San Isidro; and
Point D of the Luminous Mysteries going to Brgy. Santo Tomas. After
each fifth mystery, everyone waited for each other to arrive back as it
continued to conclude and sung the Salve Regina, led by the LDL Choir.
At the same time, the CYM announced the winners of the charcoal
rendering and painting contest with a theme of “Inang Maria: Huwaran
ng Pusong Dalisay at Mapagarugang Kamay”. The winner of charcoal
rendering contest was Giane Perolina (Grade Also, the said organization
encouraged the students to visit the art exhibit in the prayer room
prepared by the CYM Officers.

On the afternoon, all the students and teachers participated in holy mass
as a part of wide spectrum of celebration in solemn tradition in our
hometown. After the Holy Mass - the procession began immediately and
all the devotees gather in front of the arish, whispers of prayers and
devotion that lifted to heaven in exchange for receiving miracles from
our patroness. The procession of Our Lady of The Holy Rosary is part of
our mission as a promise of binding faith, perseverance in the purpose
and shows us how a “Panata” is an act of subsequent change. Walking
the streets of our town, bringing our faith and carrying our rosary are
the great opportunity to be in presence of Mary by upholding our love
and passion it is a perfect time to evangelize, obtain a plenary
indulgence and bring the light of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary to others.
As part of the culture and tradition of the municipality of San Diego, a
competition of historical and religious dance called Caracol was also
happened as a mainly form of procession dance street and thanksgiving.
All the participants were full of enthusiasm especially the elders and
children about their moves and with a genuine smile on their faces.
