VERY year, some 280,000 Chinese commit suicide.

Background: Chinas economy has grown rapidly, and some people have been left behind. Some have lost hope. And suicide rates have skyrocketed.
Theres a big bridge in Nanjing, China, where in the past over a thousand desperate Chinese have jumped off to their death. In 2004, Chen Si saw a man who threw his shoes to the river. And one leg was already over the railing. He ran to him, grabbed him by the waist, and pushed him to the ground. And the man just cried. Chen learned that the man was a farmer who brought his entire wheat harvest to the city, but a business partner stole all the proceeds from him. Not being able to go home to his family without any money, he simply wanted to die. Chen gave the man some money and told him to go home. Since then, this burly 40-year-old has spent his weekends driving up and down this bridge, rescuing people. In his heart, Chen Si said, I must do something. Result? So far, he has rescued 144 persons from death. But there are times when he couldnt save them. He had seen more than 50 persons drown in the Yangtze river. Some just suddenly stopped their car and jumped, he said. The bridge is 700 meters long. There is no way I could catch up with them. Chen Si is a hero because he cares. Thats the first requirement. If you look around you, there are many who are losing hope. You can be like Chen Si. All you have to do is careand put that care into simple action. This Sunday, we start a brand new series, Heroes.

Yes, heroes are willing to die Heroes are people who are willing to sacrifice, willing to give all, everything Willing to give all to the point of death for people and even for what they believe. But, what we need today are living heroes, more than dead heroes. People needs living heroes who care for people more than themselves We dont have to be a hero to be good, do good and make good for someone than ourselves; When you do good and make good, in caring for others, you are a hero Do you know why our weekly Feasts (here and everywhere) runs smoothly? They spend their own money to dress up in their uniforms, come here earlier than everyone else, and go home later than everyone else. And they dont get paid. Our volunteers are happy people. Because they care for you more than themselves. God made you a hero. Be one. Act as one. Why does He want you to be a hero? Because He wants you to be happy. And that will only happen when you become a hero. Unless you care for someone else more than you care for yourself, therell be an emptiness in your life. Do you want to be really happy in your life? Let God Disturb You

Nehemiah 1:2-4 I asked them about Jerusalem and about the other Jews who had returned from exile in Babylonia. They told me that those who had survived and were back in the homeland were in great difficulty and that the foreigners who lived nearby looked down on them. They also told me that the walls of Jerusalem were still broken down and that the gates had not been restored since the time they were burned. When I heard all this, I sat down and wept. For several days I mourned and did not eat. I prayed to God Nehemiah 2:1-4 One day four months later, when Emperor Artaxerxes was dining, I took the wine to him. He had never seen me look sad before, so he asked, Why are you looking so sad? You arent sick, so it must be that youre unhappy. I was startled and answered, May Your Majesty live forever! How can I keep from looking sad when the city where my ancestors are buried is in ruins and its gates have been destroyed by fire? The emperor asked, What is it that you want? I prayed to the God of Heaven, and then I said to the emperor, If Your Majesty is pleased with me and is willing to grant my request, let me go to the land of Judah, to the city where my ancestors are buried, so that I can rebuild the city. Our Feast Builder Bro Eng Si recapped our talk series: The Real Score with his last note that the cross represents the Greatest Love here on eartH. For God gave His life for all of us - where we are right now. He accepts our weaknesses and not only does He offer his forgiveness for us - He even gave His life for our sins. Our Priest presider was Rev. Fr. Winny Naboya. In his sermon, he said that love has two directions: Vertical and Horizontal. Vertical love, is loving in upward referring to God. While Horizontal love, is loving not some but all people beside you your neighbors. Letting those directions meet will give us the greatest symbol of love, not a heart but a Cross. If problems overtake you, hand it over to God. Let God take over. Thus quip by Bro. Glen Orea as he led the Valiantz with an unstoppable worship. Everytime sunday would come, a problem comes, hence, I wasnt able to attend. My cousin was persistent at first but sooner gave up on inviting - thinking I am aware what she was talking about and she trusts in my decision and conviction as well. One day, I decided to go to the feast alone. During that time, again, I was beset by another problem. Naisip ko and I told myself I WONT ALLOW THE DEVIL COME IN MY WAY THIS TIME IN ATTENDING THE FEAST NO MATTER HOW BIG MY PROBLEM IS, AND SO I DID. When i came there, I joined in singing during the praise and worship, and as I was singing I just found myself in tears. After that experience, I always look forward in attending the feast every Sunday. Ever since I attended the feast - every experience brings me hope and complete faith in GODs grace, mercy, providence, forgiveness and abundance. Everytime I am beset with tons of problems, I always say with a happy and faithful heart GOD WILL MAKE A WAY FOR ME. Since Ive been attending, I always feel GODs love for me and all those I pray for in my NOVENA TO GODs LOVE. I have written seven wishes. .. FIVE OF WHICH ALREADY CAME TRUE!!!!!. Yesterday, I cant help but cry in awe of God and in gratitude for all the blessings HE has been giving me. When I was in college it was my dream to have a house of my own. I wrote it down in my novena and prayed for it every night trusting GOD will give it to me in HIS perfect time. after two weeks, I found out that I was one of the beneficiaries in NHA housing for the PNP. On September 1, 2011, I SIGNED MY HOUSING CONTRACT and hopefully before 2011 ends, the house will be awarded to me! Truly a big dream come true. GLORY TO GOD FOR HIS LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS TO ALL THOSE WHO LOVE HIM. I always share this story to everyone I meet so in that way I am able to show how beautiful and wonderfull and great GOD IS!!!
