but don't mention how?

Food Borne Illness: The blockchain solution will dramatically improve supply chain
transparency. With this solution, all participants in the supply chain – producers, suppliers,
distributors, retailers, supervisors and consumers, will be able to access all the information
regarding the food, from its details on how and where the food was grown, produced and
who inspected it. This means food providers can use the blockchain to trace contaminated
products quickly, in order to remove them from the store shelves.

3) On page No 5, first line talks of Legacy System. What does that mean??
Reply: With Legacy system, we mean to say that our system will be compliant to ensure the
Legal statuary guideline lay down by government or associated body like FSSAI in digital
format and blockchain will help to ensure that no editing or tampering is induced in the
system, making Legacy System more robust.

4) How do we compliment the institution of FSSAI and not become its competitor? So what
technical feature will help both, the Consumers and FSSAI?
Reply: We compliment FSSAI and do not become its competitor, as we are providing an
additional technical layer ensuring the guidelines laid down by FSSAI are validated at each
check point, with Blockchain implementation, we ensure that there is no manual
intervention or tampering of data is induced in the system and thus provides assurance to
the consumer that food product purchased are in line with the prescribed guideline. This will
in turn help FSSAI manage the guidelines seamlessly and with higher layer of trust

5) How do we tackle Food adulteration as mentioned on page 5 in the presentation?


Reply : We propose decentralized system blockchain layer to track the manufacturing of
food items. This will monitor the activities between the suppliers , manufacturers and
distributors. It will give transparency of the food product. The entire flow in a product
manufacturing will be updated in each phase in the blockchain servers. So when a customer
purchase any product they need to scan the qr code of that product and based on the
product id the tracking details like batch id, product id ,expiry date and date of packaging of
all individual ingredients will be listed to the customer.

6) If a flow chart for the Process Automation , for any particular product would be required
Reply: Sure will display the same in the meeting.
7) In blockchain based Quality Assurance (which we have proposed real- time) is there a unique
technology that we employ other than DLT. How does our QA guarantee the process?
Reply:
1. Real Time: As DLT/ Blockchain system will be integrated at all nodes viz stake holders in
the network, hence any transaction on the movement of food packet can be managed
on the layer without any delay or further reconciliation.
2. Any node at which QA report for eg temperature or humidity coordinates need to be
ensured for the storage location can be achieved by planting IoT devices and data can be
captured directly on the blockchain layer , Hence end consumer can have access to QA
assurance report, providing more trust.
