ALBOTRA, JERUSALEM S. JR.

BS CRIM 3L

WHO AM I?
My name is Jerusalem Albotra, and I am a college student pursuing a
Bachelor of Science in Criminology at Leyte Colleges. Growing up, I developed a
passion for sports, particularly basketball, and enjoy spending my free time playing
and honing my skills. When I am not playing basketball, I also enjoy riding my
bicycle, as it gives me a sense of freedom and allows me to explore new places. As
a child, I was always attracted by law enforcement and the role that police officers
played in keeping communities safe. I admired the bravery, dedication, and
selflessness of those who chose to serve as police officers, and I knew from a young
age that I wanted to follow in their footsteps. When it came time to choose a major in
college, I knew that I wanted to pursue a degree that would allow me to learn more
about the criminal justice system and prepare me for a career as a police officer.
Criminology seemed like the perfect fit, as it covers a wide range of topics related to
crime, justice, and social issues. Through my studies, I have gained a deep
understanding of the causes and consequences of crime, the various approaches to
crime prevention and rehabilitation, and the importance of upholding human rights
and justice. I have learned about the various theories of crime, including biological,
psychological, and sociological perspectives, and have studied the role of the
criminal justice system in addressing crime and punishing offenders. While my
academic pursuits are important to me, I also believe in the value of extracurricular
activities and community involvement. In high school, I was an active member of my
school's basketball team, where I developed my skills and learned the importance of
teamwork and perseverance. I also volunteered at a local community center, where I
helped to organize sports events and mentor younger children. Since coming to
college, I have continued to be involved in extracurricular activities that allow me to
develop my leadership skills and give back to my community. I am a member of a
local youth organization that organizes sports events and outreach programs for
underprivileged children. Being part of this group has given me a sense of purpose
and taught me the value of teamwork, communication, and compassion. And to my
academic and extracurricular pursuits, I also enjoy spending time with my friends
and family. Basketball and cycling are my favorite hobbies, and I enjoy challenging
myself and pushing my limits in both sports. I also enjoy exploring new places and
trying new things, whether it's trying a new restaurant or visiting a new city. In
conclusion, I am Jerusalem Albotra, a passionate and driven individual who loves
sports, exploring new places, and making a positive impact on society. I am currently
pursuing a degree in Criminology with the goal of becoming a police officer, and I am
committed to using my knowledge and skills to serve and protect my community.
