FALLOPIAN TUBES-.

The fallopian tubes, also known as oviducts or uterine tubes, are the
female structures that transport the ova from the ovary to the uterus each month. In the
presence of sperm and fertilization, the uterine tubes transport the fertilized egg to the uterus
for implantation. (ito ay ang passageway o daanan ng eggs na nagmumula sa ovary papunta sa
uterus o bahay bata)

OVARIES- The ovaries are oval shaped and about the size of a large grape. They are located on
opposite ends of the pelvic wall, on either side of the uterus. The ovaries are each attached to
the fimbria (tissue that connects the ovaries to the fallopian tube). The ovaries also have the
distinction of being an endocrine gland because they secrete hormones—primarily estrogen
and progesterone—that are vital to normal reproductive development and fertility. (ang obaryo
o bahay-itlog ay isa sa mga organong pangreproduksiyon ng organismong babae, sakanila nag
mumula ang itlog o ovum)

-The ovaries maintain the health of the female reproductive system.

-They secrete two main hormones—estrogen and progesterone.

-Diseases associated with the ovaries include ovarian cysts, ovarian cancer, menstrual cycle
disorders, and polycystic ovarian syndrome

UTERUS- uterus, also called womb, an inverted pear-shaped muscular organ of the female
reproductive system, located between the bladder and the rectum. It functions to nourish and
house a fertilized egg until the fetus, or offspring, is ready to be delivered. (ito ay ang bahay-
bata na naglalaman at nag bibigay sustansiya sa umuunlad o namumuong sanggol o fetus)

CERVIX- cervix, lowest region of the uterus; it attaches the uterus to the vagina and provides a
passage between the vaginal cavity and the uterine cavity. It plays a major role in the menstrual

VAGINA- your vagina is a stretchy, muscular canal that’s an important part of your
reproductive anatomy. It provides a passageway for blood and mucosal tissue from the uterus during
a woman's monthly period. It receives the penis during sexual intercourse and holds the sperm until
they pass into the uterus. It provides a passageway for childbirth. Your vagina is an essential part of
your external genitals, or your vulva, which allows you to experience sexual pleasure. And, it’s
an important part of your internal reproductive system, which makes pregnancy and childbirth
possible.
