LOGISTICS MANAGER INTERVIEW: A NARRATIVE REPORT

Our group was tasked to conduct an interview to a manager who works in a logistic company

and is in a position of manager. This interview relates to our topic in distribution management

which is the logistic and it aims to understand more about the process and the flow of a logistic

company in real world. We as a business management student will benefit in this interview as

well as to the future students who will take this course and this subject.

Now in the first day we have, we firstly asked different persons who knows someone who works

in this field, and luckily, we found one. We immediately contacted Mr. Jerome, Logistic

manager in a leading E-commerce platform which is the Lazada. Due to conflict of his schedule,

we still wait for the time when he is available. The team use the following days to think and

construct questions that will be asked to Mr. Jerome during the actual interview. Each of one

gave their thoughts and opinions in the questions provided to answer the most asked questions in

logistics as well as to questions that is usually didn’t answered thoroughly by the managers. On

the days that passed by us continue to find another logistic manager to pass our output early but

unfortunately, we didn’t find another one.

Now on the day the interview will be held, we conducted the interview in Mama’s chicken and

waffle fast food chain in the Tanauan city, the reason why it is the location is that that’s the place

where Mr. Jerome is available. So, we conducted it, the interview. But as the interview continue,

a lot of people came there, and the audio of our video becomes unclear. Now we decided to

conduct it online since Mr. Jerome is in rush also in that time, we asked if we could conduct an

interview again in google meet. And he agreed to it. And that follows the contents of the

interview. Mr. Jerome answers all the questions clearly and he discussed each of his answers in
each question one by one where we can understand what the logistics company is and what its

job in the real-world scenario. Further information about the interview was discussed in the
