Project action plan and timetable:

This section provides you with an opportunity
to outline your planning and organisation
over a period of weeks and the activities you
will need to carry out in order to successfully
complete your project in the agreed time
frame. The more time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.

It is important that you consider how you will

balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also
include what you are going to do, how you will
do it and by when. Remember to include: time
spent sourcing materials and other resources
to conduct research, seek feedback from
tutors and peers, and identify when you will
carry out independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

This section provides an opportunity to record
the initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.

Your sources of research should be as wide

galleries, books, magazines, films, computer
games, websites, blogs, social media, radio

appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should
be continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Project Title
Buckets by Adam Bernard

Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 150 words) After badgering my parents at 5 years to have dancing lessons, then attending
Stage Coach, this course was always going to be my next step.
Coming to the college and working with new people has certainly pushed me
out of my comfort Zone and made me come of my ‘shell’. By working with
enthusiastic Tutors and Practitioner I have learned so much about the theatre
and skills related to performing. I have certainly grown in confidence this year
and feel much more comfortable working with different people. Although quite
shy, I have enjoyed collaborating with different groups of people and being
able to create some imaginative pieces of theatre. I have found my voice and
am more confident to speak up and articulate my ideas during our ensemble
work. I have learned how to handle working with a variety of personalities and
are no longer feel inhibited when around others that are more gregarious than
me.
Until starting this course I had little knowledge about Theatre companies and
what they produce. I was amazed to find that some companies specialise in
emphasising certain themes such as the Justice in Motion physical theatre

characters and moments - moments seized,
moments wasted, moments you can never forget and moments you wish you
could. Buckets consists of 27 short scenes, no defined characters or plot but a
series of observations on 'life, longings, lists, lusts and mortality.'

The concept of a bucket list is very poignant for me to me as my Birth mother

(she was a friend of my parents and had me for them) died young but after a
cancer diagnosis, she created a bucket list and was able to carry out a few
things on her list such as getting married to her partner and to go abroad. I see
her family regularly and this play and my role in it sparked many discussionsPage 3
about bucket lists and how time can be limited, wasted or fulfilled.

Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 150 words) In order to effectively and evaluate my work, I will complete a weekly action
plan outlining what I have completed and what I aim to do the following week.
This will enable me to organise my work, so that I am consistent in the quality
of the work I produce and am able to meet deadlines.

Alongside my action plan, I will create a weekly video diary to record my

reflections about my work and the decision-making processes, my character
development and overall performance. I will include a humorous introduction to
my video log, not connected to Buckets as this will highlight my personality
which is not always apparent at college.

I will be guided by practitioners as well as my peers and will welcome any

constructive criticism. Although criticism can feel challenging it will help me to
look at new perspectives and opens my eyes to things I might not have
considered. Whether it's from a peer, practitioner or a performance review,
