INTRODUCTION
Teaching is one of the noblest professions, and for several reasons I chose this
career as my field of specialization because I believe that the future of the learners is
in the hands of its teachers. Teachers have a direct impact on shaping the future of
individuals and society. They have the opportunity to instill knowledge, critical thinking
skills, and values in their students, preparing them to become responsible citizens and
leaders. Back when I was in Grade 9, I was inspired by my science teacher Eduardo
Espina. A great teacher that introduced me to wonders of science. That is why, I
decided that I will become a science teacher.
This e-portfolio will introduce you to my fantastic journey toward becoming a
teacher. You will discover all the important details about my teaching internship right
here, including lesson plans, instructional materials, final demonstration,
documentation of actual teaching, student outputs, and certificates earned through
taking various webinars. Each of these reflects how I've grown as a teaching
candidate.
Making a difference is teachers job. Teachers have the power to make a
positive difference in the lives of their students. They can inspire, motivate, and
empower students to overcome challenges, unlock their potential, and pursue their
dreams. We are encourager in ups and down of our students, we are motivational
speaker when they need words of affirmation.
Teachers are mentors and a guide, teachers often serve as mentors and guides
to the students. Teachers provide not only academic instruction but also emotional
support, advice, and guidance. They help students navigate through various life
challenges and act as role models.
Teaching is not merely a profession but a profound responsibility that shapes
young minds, ignites their curiosity, and molds them into responsible citizens.
Throughout my pre-service journey, I have had the privilege of witnessing the
transformative power of education and the profound impact it can have on students'
lives.
In 21st century, teachers serve as facilitators. The learnings of the students are
in their hand we only give instructions on what to do. In a classroom we are not the
center, in discussion we only occupy the 20% of giving the students the knowledge
from their activities. That is why, we present the students in lifelong learning. As a
teacher we must present ourselves in different teaching method, enough knowledge
about ICT to provide the quality education to the students.
