1.Physical well-being
The ability to maintain a healthy quality of life that allows us to get the most out of
our daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress. It is about being safe, sheltered
and in good health and it is closely connected to mental well-being. If we have good physical
health, we will automatically experience better mental and emotional well-being. It is the
ability to maintain a healthy quality of life that allows us to get the most out of our daily
activities without undue fatigue or physical stress.

2.Mental well –being


Mental well-being encompasses psychological, emotional, and social health. It refers
to how we move through life and react to its turbulence. These fluctuations can range from
everyday stressors to significant life shifts. The positive aspect of mental health. It is more
than the absence of disease. People with mental wellbeing feel good and function well. It is
the state of thriving in various areas of life, such as in relationships, at work, play, and more,
despite ups and downs.

3.Social well-being
Social well-being can be defined as the sharing, developing, and sustaining of
meaningful relationships with others. This allows you to feel authentic, valued and provides a
sense of connectedness and belonging. It is a fundamental part of life. Social connection with
others can help you to experience positive emotions, feel better, and cope with challenges. It
is also the ability to communicate with others and build meaningful relationships where you
can freely be yourself.

4.Envoromental Health
Environmental health it refers to aspects of human health (including quality of life)
that are determined by physical, chemical, biological, social and psychosocial factors in the
environment. And it is the branch of public health concerned with all aspects of the natural
and built environment affecting human health. In order to effectively control factors that may
affect health, the requirements that must be met in order to create a healthy environment
must be determined.

5.Emotional Healt
Emotional health is a state of positive psychological functioning. It can be thought of
as an extension of mental health; it's the "optimal functioning" end of the thoughts, feelings,
and behaviors that make up both our inner and outer worlds. Emotional health is a person’s
ability to accept and manage feelings through challenge and change. It also refers to how an
individual experiences his or her emotions. It’s also called self-esteem or the person’s sense
of worth.

6.Spiritual Health
Spiritual health is achieved when you feel at peace with life. It is when you are able to
find hope and comfort in even the hardest of times. It can help to support you as you
experience life completely. It is a dimension of human wellness that integrates all dimensions
of health: physical, emotional, mental, and social. Spiritual health creates meaning in life,
cultivates altruism and ethics, and is based on individual perceptions convincing.
7.Physical Wellness
Physical wellness is prioritizing one’s general physical health, promoting a better body,
functionality, efficiency, and endurance, thus gaining the ability to maintain a certain quality
of life. This involves more than just losing weight it is about gaining health particularly the
physical, bodily systems. It consists of recognizing the need for physical activity, healthy
foods, and sleep, as well as preventing illness and injury or managing chronic health
conditions

8.Hygiene
The hygiene pertains to the hygiene practices related to the administration of
medicine and medical care that prevents or minimizes the spread of disease. Hygiene is
defined as the science and practice of keeping one’s body clean in order to preserve good
health. And the conditions or practices conducive to maintaining health and preventing
disease, especially through cleanliness.

9.Personal Hygiene
The personal hygiene is how you care for your body. This practice includes bathing,
washing your hands, brushing your teeth, and more. Every day, you come into contact with
millions of outside germs and viruses. It refers to maintaining cleanliness of one's body and
clothing to preserve overall health and well-being and it is very important because it affects
the way we approach people in our daily lives and build relationships

10. Sanitation
The sanitation refers to public health conditions related to clean drinking water and
treatment and disposal of human excreta and sewage. Preventing human contact with feces
is part of sanitation, as is hand washing with soap. The conditions relating to public health,
especially the provision of clean drinking water and adequate sewage disposal. It refers to

11. First Aid


First Aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person with either a minor
or serious illness or injury, [1] with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from

prior to professional medical help being available, such as performing cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR) while waiting for an ambulance, as well as the complete treatment of

12. CPR

performed in an attempt to restore the blood circulation and breathing of a person who has
suffered cardiac arrest. An emergency procedure consisting of chest compressions often

until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a
person who is in cardiac arrest.

13. Rescue

injuries after an accident or a dangerous situation. Rescue is a potent theme in human
psychology, both from mortal perils and moral perils, and is often treated in fiction, with the

14. First Aider


A first aider gives this immediate help to the casualty, while making sure that the
casualty and those around the casualty (including themselves) are safe. Sometimes an injury
is minor and a workplace first aider can manage this without further help. For example,
injuries such as minor burns, cuts and bruises. First aid is the first and immediate assistance
given to any person with either a minor or serious illness or injury, with care provided to
preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening.

15.First Aid Kit


First aid supplies or first aid kits are collections of life saving equipment that are used by
paramedic staff in cases of emergency to increase the life of a victim until a time when the
injured can be transferred to a permanent hospital facility.The first aid kit or medical kit is a
collection of supplies and equipment used to give immediate medical treatment, primarily to
treat injuries and other mild or moderate medical conditions.

16. Bandaging
Bandaging is the process of covering a wound or an injured part.Covering a break in
the skin helps to control bleeding and protect against infection. Dressings are pads of gauze
or cloth that can be placed directly against the wound to absorb blood and other fluids. Cloth
bandages cover dressings and hold them in place. And the technique will depend on, the first
aider’s skills, the size and location of the wounds, and the materials available

17.Dressing or Compress
A dressing is a sterile pad or compress applied to a wound to promote healing and
protect the wound from further harm. A dressing is designed to be in direct contact with the
wound, as distinguished from a bandage, which is most often used to hold a dressing in place.
The dressing is (medicine) material applied to a wound for protection or therapy while
compress is a multiply folded piece of cloth

18.Wounds
Wound is an injury or damage to a living tissue arising from different agents. There are
different types of wounds caused by different agents with various degrees of severity. Some
wounds are minor but others may be severe enough to cause loss of function of a whole
organ, tissue or cell. A break in the continuity of any bodily tissue due to violence, where
violence is understood to encompass any action of external agency,

19.Fracktures
A fracture is a broken bone. It can range from a thin crack to a complete break. Bone
can fracture crosswise, lengthwise, in several places, or into many pieces. Most fractures
happen when a bone is impacted by more force or pressure than it can support. A fracture is
a partial or complete break in the bone. There are many different types of fractures.

d. Eight (8) Proper procedures for basic life support


1. The patient must have an open airway—that is, an unobstructed passage that allows air
to travel from the open mouth or uncongested nose, down through the pharynx and
into the lungs.
2. Whether conscious or not, the patient may be placed in the recovery position, laying on
their side. In addition to relaxing the patient, this can have the effect of clearing the
tongue from the pharynx.
3. The airway can also become blocked by a foreign object. To dislodge the object and
prevent choking, the first aider may use techniques such as ‘back slaps’ and abdominal
thrusts.
4. Once the airway has been opened, the first aider would reassess the patient's breathing.
5. If there is no breathing, or the patient is not breathing normally (e.g. agonal breathing ),
the first aider would initiate CPR, which attempts to restart the patient's breathing by
forcing air into the lungs.
6. If the choking person is an infant, the procedure is to deliver five strong blows on the
infant’s upper back after placing the infant’s face in the aider’s forearm.
7. A first responder should know how to use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) in
the case of a person having a sudden cardiac arrest.

Write an essay that shows what you have learned throughout the semester while taking the
NSTP-1 course.
I learned a lot from nstp, what I learned was about what the nstp is, that
nstp is a program that aims at enchasing civic consciousness and defense
preparedness in the youth by developing the ethics of service and patriotism
while undergoing training, and also about core values, the Philippine preamble,
about human rights, Flag Heraldic code of the Philippines, fist aid, disaster, and
more.
