- Read through the fitting instructions before installation of accessory.
- Always install the accessory following the fitting instructions. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle
or the accessory.
- Ensure all recyclable discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local
recycling regulations.
- It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified Toyota Technician.
- Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.
- Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using Automotive Bare Metal Primer and touch-up paint.
- Remove all metal swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surface is used for accessory installation.

Step 1
Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual

when removing vehicle components.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

• Cover the exposed terminal with tape.
Step 2
• Remove left hand side front door scuff plate
Step 3
• Remove cowl side trim left hand side

Step 4 to Step 5 is only for double cab vehicle.
For other vehicle go straight to step 6.
• Remove the left hand side rear door scuff plate
Step 5
• Remove rear seat outer belt’s floor anchor

• Remove the centre pillar garnish lower left
hand side
When re-installing the rear seat

outer belt’s floor anchor, set the
torque value to 42 N.m.

• Remove left hand side front sear bracket
cover as shown.
Step 7
• Remove front left hand side seat to get
better access.
When re-installing the Front left

hand side seat, set the torque
value to 39N.m.

Step 8
• Prepare rear camera, camera bracket, M3x6 bolts, and black gear.
• Install camera bracket to the rear camera by following below steps.
① Place the black gear’s arrow mark to the rear camera’s gear slot to △ mark as shown on below
image.
② Make sure to wire down the camera wire from the cam
③ With black gear attached, adjust the bolt position to the middle position as shown below.
④ Fix M3x6 bolts to the rear camera bracket.

• Apply the protection tape to the rear
camera wire until the corrugated tube as
shown.
• Make sure to wrap the camera

wire start from the wire on the
camera side as shown.
• Make sure that all camera wire

is wrapped until the corrugated
tube.

• Under the vehicle locate and remove the

vehicle 45mm rubber grommet.
Step 11
• Remove camera grommet A. Grommet

closer to the corrugated tube.

• Prepare tray body bracket and nuts
• Pass through the rear camera wire to the
middle hole of the tray body bracket.
• Insert the rear camera assembly to the
tray body bracket.
• Apply nuts to the rear camera bracket.
Set the torque value for camera

nuts to 3N.m.
For vehicle with trundle drawer, discard the

bracket that come with the rear camera kit
(tray body bracket) and install trundle drawer
bracket as per fitting instruction
Step 13
• Locate license bolts at the rear part of

the tray body as shown.
Step 14
• Install the Tray body bracket and rear

camera assembly to the vehicle tray
body as shown.
Set the torque value for

license bolts to 3N.m.

• Install the rear camera

assembly as per step 14.
• (2), (3) Follow the
existing vehicle harness
and then cable tie it.
• (3), (4), (5), (6), (7) Route
the wire near the rear
left wheel and then
cable tie it to the
existing vehicle
brackets.
• Find the existing vehicle
grommet.

• Prepare the additional camera grommet.
• Install camera grommet B as shown.
Step 17
• Lift the vehicle carpet
• Pass the camera inter connector through the
vehicle grommet hole.
• Bring the camera inter connector to the
vehicle scuff plate area
Step 18
• Install the camera grommet to the vehicle
grommet hole.
• Cable tie the camera wire to the existing
vehicle harness

• Connect camera inter connector

• Bundle and cable tie the access wire to the

existing vehicle harness at scuff plate area.

• On the left cowl side area. Locate

junction connector as shown.
• Locate 28 pin connector
• Remove 28 pin connector.

Step 22
• Connect the PZQ60-00460 rear camera wire harness to the vehicle junction connector.
• Connect the vehicle 28 pin connector to the PZQ60-00460 rear camera wire harness.
• Connect rear camera connector to the PZQ60-00460 wire harness.

• Apply cable tie to the existing vehicle

harness as shown.

Step 24
• After connecting the rear camera cable check the

display images on the next step.
• Re-connect the battery terminal.
• Move the shift lever to the R position to display images
from behind the vehicle.
• The reference guide on the camera tray

body bracket should be visible to act as
reference of the rear view display.
• When adjusting the rear camera images,

apply the vehicle’s parking brake and
be sure to check the wheels of the
vehicle so that the vehicle will not move,
otherwise accidents or injuries may
occur.
Refit all removed parts and secure all fasteners to the

Service Manual torque specifications.
Reprogram all radio stations and clock settings by

referring to the vehicle's owner manual.
Please place the owner manual in the glove box

after installation is completed.
Re-connect battery terminal.

Battery Post terminal to be torqued to 5.5Nm +/- 2Nm

Rear View Camera Installation Procedure for July 2015 – May

2020 Production Vehicle. (Step 25 -Step 71)

Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual

when removing vehicle components.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

• Cover the exposed terminal with tape.

• Remove the screw type clips on the top of combi meter
cluster panel.
• Remove the combi meter cluster panel.
Step 27
• Remove indash panel

• Open glove box.
• Remove indash panel upper box

• Heat control automatic type removal
Step 30
• Heat control manual type removal
For manual type panel, only need to remove the

panel until you get access to the audio bracket
bolts.
Do not need to remove all the dial wiring.

• Remove all tapping screws from the audio

assembly as shown.
• Remove the audio assembly.
• Disconnect all the connectors.

• Remove the knobs inside the glovebox and then
remove the glovebox as shown.
Step 33
• If available, remove left hand side under cover.

• Remove left hand side front door scuff plate

• Remove cowl side trim left hand side

Step 36 to Step 37 is only for double cab vehicle.
For extra cab vehicle go straight to step 38.
For single cab vehicle go straight to step 39.
• Remove the left hand side rear door scuff plate

• Remove rear seat outer belt’s floor anchor

• Remove the centre pillar garnish lower left
hand side

Step 38 is only applicable to extra cab vehicle.

For other model go to next step.
• Remove left hand side rear sear outer belt’s

floor anchor.
• Dislodge left hand side quarter inside trim
board.

• Prepare rear camera, camera bracket, M3x6 bolts, and black gear.
• Install camera bracket to the rear camera by following below steps.
① Place the black gear’s arrow mark to the rear camera’s gear slot to △ mark as shown on below
image.
② Make sure to wire down the camera wire from the cam
③ With black gear attached, adjust the bolt position to the middle position as shown below.
④ Fix M3x6 bolts to the rear camera bracket.

bracket that come with the rear camera kit
(tray body bracket) and install trundle drawer
bracket as per fitting instruction

• Locate license bolts at the rear part of

the tray body as shown.

• Install the Tray body bracket and rear

camera assembly to the vehicle tray
body as shown.
Set the torque value for

license bolts to 3N.m.

grommet as shown.

• Pass through to the rear camera inter
connector to inside vehicle from the

make U shape loop on the rear
camera wire, to prevent the water
penetrating the vehicle.

existing vehicle harness at scuff plate area.

For vehicle without MID, use PZQ60-00230 only. Go directly to Step 70 for installation method.

Camera patch harness and CAN signal patch harness installation method
• Prepare PZQ60-00230 camera patch harness. Lift the connector lock of the 24 pin connector using
small flat head screw driver.
• Prepare PZQ60-00390 CAN signal harness.
• Insert Black wire terminal of CAN signal harness to Pin 3 of 24 pin connector camera patch harness
• Insert White wire terminal of CAN signal harness to Pin 4 of 24 pin connector camera patch harness.
• After terminals insertion, lock the 24 pin connector.

3 times to make the wire twisted.
