GREETING

There are different ways to greet people:


 Using particular words or a particular action.

 Formally for the first time, we greet by shaking hands and saying "How do
you do?" or "Pleased to meet you."

 Informally, they sometimes greet and say "Give me five!" and slap their
hands together (high five) or by just saying ‘hi’ or ‘Hello”.

 Here are some expressions you can use to greet people.

How to tell the time in English?


There are two common ways of telling the time in English. For 2:10 you can use one of these two ways.
 Digital: the easier way - "Two ten "
 Classical: you say the minutes first then the hour - "ten past two"

Hi everyone. I thought I would introduce myself as part of this site, and at the same time, make this introduction

As you know, my name's Randall Davis, and I'm originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, in the United States. When
I was 19 years old, I moved to Venezuela in South America, and later returned to the United States in 1985. Then, I
moved to Provo, Utah, where I attended Brigham Young University from 1985 to 1991, and I majored in Spanish
education and TESOL, or teaching English as a second language.

After graduating from college, I moved to Tokyo, Japan, in the Spring of 1991. Then, in 1996, I moved to Nagoya,
Japan, where I currently live and teach.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, bike riding, playing basketball, and hearing from students from around the
