Reflections/Experience
What things did your company do well with respect to your Work Experience?
We experienced first-hand the security center environment, tasks, and what they do in their day-to-day
operation. In addition, the fact that we attended the meeting with our manager to live the real work
experience.

What things at work did you do well?

We did well in OSINT, and how to use the different tools of OSINT. Moreover, our communication skills in the
meetings.

Which skills that you learnt in the College were most helpful to you at work?
Mostly theoretical knowledge. As an example, the incident response steps and how the GRC will affect the
company.

What were the main things you learnt from your Work Experience?
We learned many things especially how the team works and the workflow. And knowing the
team functionalities ( soc , cnoc , mss, grc)

What things at work do you wish you could do better?

The main thing is having more skills in penetration testing and using different applications like splunk. So I could
benefit my entity more.

What can you do to improve yourself as an employee?

Watching more classes and using the different applications to increase my knowledge.

What things could the company do better for your Work Experience?
Having more practical trainings.

What additional skills could be taught at College to help you at work?

More knowledge on the workflow and more experience on different applications ( SIEM TOOLS)

What else could the College do to prepare you better for your Work Experience?
Knowing how to deal with meetings.

Would you recommend this Work Experience for students in the future? Give reasons
Sure, it was a great work experience with huge amount of knowledge. We went to many teams and visited the
datacenter. It was a great overall experience.

Would you like to work in this organization or a similar type of organization? Give reasons
I would like to wok in the same organization because they have different teams and levels. So always you could
improve your skills.
 How has your ‘Work Experience’ affected/changed your future career goals?
It affected my career goals, I’m thinking to get some certificates like Security+. In addition, I’m thinking to be a
specialized security analyst

What are your future career goals?

Being a security analyst and having certifications like CEH and Security+

List any tasks/work you have done in collaboration with other employees at the Work Placement location (CLO2)
Mostly meeting were attended with them, we had to cover the materials in the meeting (minutes of meeting)

We attended a meeting with a new department that recently joined du. And we gave our expression about
them and we had some questions.

Discuss any organizational change you observe at the Work Placement due to change in business process or change in
information system resources (CLO6) Propose solutions
Our department will be changing to another location, because of the new teams which are assigned to our
manager. The change didn’t affect the business process. However, I believe it will improve the team outcome
because all employees will be in one locations so it will be easier to interact. In addition, its more of a quiet
place so employees will focus more.

There was no risks I observed everything here is monitored and controlled. All of the employees in our
department are specialists in security. In addition, there are more than 3 access controls to reach our room
