Phase 1:

In phase 1 we will start erection of 4 tanks of 20 KL. These tanks are small and don’t require hydraulic
jacks for erection and can be erected with manual labour. As these are small tanks, the hydro testing
will be easy and economical as we would require only 20KL water which will be recycled for all the 4
tanks.

Phase 2:

In phase 2 we will start erection of the 2 tanks of 150 KL. The successful erection of 20 KL tanks will
give confidence to the welders and the manual labour. The 150 KL tanks can be erected with the help
of shuttering.

Phase 3:

In phase 3 we will focus on erecting the 500 KL tank. We will need hydraulic jacks for the erection of
the 500KL and 2 tanks of 2500 KL.

These jacks are expensive and are of no use to us in the foreseeable future. Hence, we should
explore the possibility of getting the jacks from Ethiopia where I have seen huge tanks erected.

Phase 4:

In phase 4 we will complete the erection of the 2 tanks of 2500 KL capacity. These tanks are of high
complexity as largest tanks and will surely require hydraulic jacks.

Wishful thinking: I hope and pray that by the time we come to erection of the 500 KL tank EXIM
Bank will see and recognise our efforts and start releasing funds so that we can complete the 500
and 2500 KL tanks.

This will facilitate us to complete the boundary wall and some internal walk ways which are part of
the Tank Farm.

The boundary wall and ladder trench are integral part of the tank farm and without these the tank
farm will not be complete for handover
