CAPACITY MARKET – RESULTS OF MAIN AUCTION WITH DELIVERY

PERIOD 2024
The main auction of the Capacity Market took place on 21 February 2022 for the delivery
year 2024.

For each national area, the total quantities accepted and their valuation premiums are
shown below.

The values relating to the new not authorised capacity are understood as provisional
since, pursuant to art. 34.3 of the Regulations, in case of partial acceptance of new not
authorised capacity, the assignees have the right not to assume the capacity commitment
for the portion of capacity not fully accepted, notifying Terna of this within 10 days.

In all areas the new not authorised capacity has been assigned at a lower price than the
maximum value of the Premium established by ARERA.

Capacity available in probability (CDP in Italian) was assigned for new storage for around
1.1 GW, of which 0.3 GW authorised and 0.8 GW not authorised. Of total new storage, 0.5
GW of CDP has been procured in Sardinia.

For each foreign virtual area, the total quantities accepted and their valuation premiums
are shown below.

In the next few days, Terna will send the report of the outcomes of the procedure to the
Ministry of Ecological Transition and ARERA, before publishing it pursuant to article 11.3
of Annex A to Resolution ARG/elt 98/11.
