Class Policies
 Lectures, quizzes, and exams will be administered in-person. However, a Google Classroom for the class will be maintained for class announcements, posting of
assignments and electronic teaching materials, and grade monitoring.
 Class and instruction-related concerns will be entertained primarily via in-person consultation; however, online communications can also be done via Google Meet and
Gmail (Institution e-mail address).
 Eight (8) consecutive or non-consecutive absences is DRP.
 Students may be excused with class requirements for valid reasons only. See University Handbook for class valid excuses (personal sickness, death in the family, student
athlete, etc.).
 Students are given 5 days to lodge valid grade-related appeal (quiz, assignment, exams, final grade) to the instructor before grades are finalized.
 Cheating and/or plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. A score of zero for the test, examination, or work in question (or a grade of 5.0
depending on the gravity of the offense) will be given to students who are proven guilty of cheating and/or plagiarizing.
 No “projects” beyond the coverage of the course will be entertained.
 Be polite and professional in approaching the Instructor for questions or clarifications.
 The passing percentage is 50.00%.

Lab Room Specific Policies

 Lab gowns and appropriate footwear (no open shoes, sandals, or heels) must be worn when performing experiments. No lab gown, no experiment.
 Safety regulations must be always observed. No smoking within the Chemistry Building. No eating in the laboratory.
 All equipment, glassware and work area must be kept clean after use.
 No make-up laboratory experiments are allowed.
 Use of cellphone during experiments and examinations is prohibited.
