It’s important to prepare before a project visit for several reasons.

Safety is the number one concern on

most project visits since construction is the most dangerous industry for workers. If I am the instructor of
this subject, before leaving for a project visit, I will give time to thoroughly assess and plan to mitigate
risks associated during a site visit. I will follow the following steps I made:

1. Decide who will come and prepare a roll call of attendance. (Prepare for the consent of the
campus and consent of the parents/guardians of each student).
2. Evaluate the site location and determine if there is a required PPE for safety purposes.
3. Prepare the location and determine when is the best time to visit to avoid disturbing the workers
on site.
4. Prepare for the needed transportation. (Since Bingag extension is a bit far from the main
campus).
5. Give everyone a copy of the electrical plan of the building. (Since we are focusing only on the
electrical part).
6. Plan and organize the order on what part of the building to tackle first.
7. If possible, I will require the students to generate questions after we tackle in every part of the
building. (Like for example: After we observed the electrical room, the students should be able
to generate questions and I, as the instructor, will address it. Then, we will proceed to another
part of the building).
8. After a successful site visit, I, as the instructor, will once again do a roll call and make sure all will
return to the main campus with the same number of attendees on the first roll call.
