10 SUPERTITIOUS BELIEFS
1. Forbidden combing at night unless you bite it three times, before using
comb at night.
2. It is forbidden sweeping at night.
3. They said that there was a white lady at elementary school near in Narra
Tree that doing some noise at night.
4. If they see a “Baboy Ramo” at night they called it “wakwak”.
5. When someone see a black cat at night they believe that there’s
something bad gonna happen.
6. My Mother said that do not sew at night.
7. When a woman is pregnant within a house, it is not permitted for anyone
to be stay outside the door but please them to go inside
8. When a spoon falls on the ground, there’s a visitor is arriving.
9. Soon-to-be married couples are forbidden to see each other on the night
before their wedding day.
10. Graduating college students are prohibited to participate in outings
because it is believed that they are prone to accidents.

“ THE HISTORY OF BARANGAY WADAS”


Wadas is a name of Brgy. who has a lot of beauties to offer from both land and sea. It is rich in
aquatic resources and truly can amaze you by its beauty. But what really is the history of this barangay?
What is the beginning and the secrets that make you amaze why this barangay known to be ‘Wadas’
today? There’s two history of Barangay Wadas,

The first history of barangay Wadas. Long time ago,It seems that there is no always dish in the
village, the cousin, he asked about the dish, what the cousin replied "no gaw" but there was "hinumgas"
which is called “Ginamos” and it took a long time to pronounce it. There was a stranger came and asked
what is the name of your village? But there was no answer to the question, when stranger came back to
that village, he asked question again and heard that it was “hinubgas”, then he called the connection
and it took a long time to ask where are you? there is no “sura” which means no dish, and then he think
a name of the village, then a stranger name it with a name called “wadas”

Second history of barangay Wadas, Long time ago there are only 3 bato or 4 houses lived here
in the village. Before they call it WADAS it came from the word WAGAS which means a "white
gold" because when they digging to make a hole for their pillar, then they found out there’s a
WhiteGold. Then decided to name it “Wadas” because some stranger can’t pronounce “Wagas”
and they pronounce “Wadas” so they decide to name it brgy Wadas.
