2. Is Don Quixote mad/insane? Why/Why not?

- Most of the characters in Don Quixote believe Don Quixote is insane, because he
exhibits all of the qualities of a lunatic, such as a bizarre set of ideas that puts both
himself and others in danger. However, his actions are unconscious, as he is
engrossed in the chivalric fantasy depicted in the novels he reads and strives to
restore it by performing things that are unpleasant to others.

3. Is Don Quixote courageous or foolish? Why/why not?

- Don Quixote is both courageous and foolish. One of the key themes made by Miguel
de Cervantes is that in order to live a genuine life and benefit others, one must take
risks. Don Quixote embarks on his perilous journey with the intention of saving
someone in danger.
4. What lessons can we derive upon reading the story?
- “Trust time; it usually provides a sweet way out of many bitter challenges.” When you
are going through a difficult period or want a given stage of your life to pass quickly, it
appears like time pauses. According to Don Quixote, Miguel de Cervantes remarked that
time heals everything and that you shouldn't expect everything to happen quickly
because everything takes time and has its own process.
5. Does Chivalry still exist? Explain.
- In social contexts, chivalry is still appropriate. That being said, I believe it comes down
to men and women being kind to each other rather than men being the only ones exercising
gracious acts. A woman should hold the door open for both men and women. A woman should
not be offended if a man holds the door open for her. It is not meant to be a slur or to imply
that a woman is weak; it is merely a gesture of courtesy.
