Competition Background

INA-IGS is International Geosynthetic Society (IGS) Indonesia Chapter. The IGS is a learned
society dedicated to the scientific and engineering development of geotextiles, geomembranes, related
products and associated technologies.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that International Geosynthetic Society Indonesia Chapter
(INA-IGS) is organizing INA-IGS Geosynthetics Paper Competition on 14th April - 9th June 2022.

This competition will stimulate students, lecturers, and researchers with lived experience to
present innovative and interestingly significant research and application of geosynthetics technology.

We are looking forward to your participation in this event and we very much hope you enjoy the

Goals
INA-IGS Geosynthetics Paper Competition 2022 is held to develop student creative concepts
and ideas regarding Geosynthetics in various disciplines which are original and implementable. This
paper competition is hoped to be a medium or forum for expression and development of intellectual
thinking for all students.

PARTICIPANTS CONDITION
1. Participant are active students at the level of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate from
private or state university in Indonesia.
2. Only original and unpublished works are invited.
3. The paper should be written in English. Regular full paper cannot exceed 4 pages, including
figures, tables, and references. The complete full paper should consist of title, first author
(student), advisor, organization, and an abstract file in PDF format.
4. 1 team consist of 1 student and 1 advisor and can only submit 1 paper.
5. Only full paper that meet requirements will be considered for finals and presentations.
6. Only the first author is allowed to submit full paper via the submission link.
COMPETITION INSTRUCTION
1. Procedure participants registration
a. Participants are required to fill a registration form via
bit.ly/REGISTRATION_INA-IGS_GPC22
b. Pay the registration fee to Bank Central Asia (BCA) with account number 0845-269071 on
behalf of Sandra Tjahyakusuma in the amount of Rp100.000, - /team.
c. Participants are required to confirm registration and payment by email at
inaigsevent@gmail.com with format Registration_INAIGS2022_University Name
d. Complete the document with a scan of student identity card.
e. Attach formal passport photo with the size 3x4 cm with red or blue background for each
participant.
f. Submit the full paper into a pdf format file to bit.ly/SUBMISSION_INA-IGS_GPC22
g. Committee will not accept any late submission.

2. Finalist announcement
Five participants who have submitted full paper works will be selected as finalist to proceed to
the presentation stage. Finalist list will be announced via Instagram and e-mail notification.

3. Finalist Presentation
Finalist presentation sequence will be announced in further details by email

4. Winner Announcement
Winner announcement will be held on 9th June 2022 after the finalist presentation session. The
distribution of E-certificate, trophy, and money will be announced via email or first author Whatsapp
Number.

The Student Champions is entitled to participate as representative of INA-IGS Youth in the 7th Geo-
Asia Conference in Taiwan (31st October - 4th November 2022). Travel allowance of 1000 USD is
included
