Dear Principal Dressler,

I am writing to express my interest in the Primary Teacher position at the Berlin

Brandenburg International School. Your school’s mission statement of centering inclusion,
innovation, and action especially caught my eye. I believe that my skills and experience
strongly align with this mission and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to
BBIS's efforts.

My time at the Singapore American School has given me experience collaborating with
diverse teams to co-create inclusive curriculum that promotes equity and accessibility for
all learners. Our current review year centers our Social Studies curriculum, pushing our
team to ensure that there is ample opportunity to inspire students to take action and make
a positive impact on their local and international communities. This inclusion has
increased student engagement and given families the tools to authentically contribute to
our learning.

Drawing upon my PYP and inquiry-based experience, I am confident in developing

students' understanding of worldwide issues, like utilizing our Grade 3 nonfiction reading
unit to study individuals who made a difference in our community. Through this inclusive,
student-centered approach, I am committed to fostering an equitable learning environment
and prioritizing every identity that walks through our classroom door.

I am also drawn to BBIS' focus on positive learning environments and providing

opportunities for service learning and leadership. I believe that these aspects are essential
to creating responsible and compassionate global citizens, and I am excited about the
potential to be a part of a school that prioritizes these values as I do. Through mindfulness
and growth mindset activities, I continue to promote positive and safe learning
environments. Additionally, I have partnered with community members like the Mayor and
the local Waste Management Organizers to bring authentic leadership opportunities to my
students that allow for them to draw upon the strengths of their community.

I am confident that my skills and experience make me an ideal candidate at BBIS. I look
forward to the opportunity to contribute to the school's efforts to inspire its students to
become compassionate global citizens through inclusion, innovation, and action. Thank
