Planta Hotel is one of the good accommodating hotels here in Bacolod. The staff of the
hotel is nice, and the ambiance felt like home. The room is very neat and clean. The
stuff that we needed is completely there. And it is easy to access all the devices in the
room.
The CEO of planta hotel is one of the speakers of our hotel exposure. He shared that
being an owner of the hotel is not easy because it is difficult to manage all the
departments of the hotel like the front office, engineering department, housekeeping
department, etc. Also, the hotel staff demonstrates to us how to bed-making After we
ate our snacks, the CEO of the hotel allowed us to roam around the hotel with the guide
of front office staff, she tours us and explained what was inside the hotel. On the second
day of hotel exposure, our first speaker is the chief, the executive chef of planta hotel.
He shared his experience before as a student that when your teacher got angry with
you, don't be angry with him/her too; you need to show them your improvement. And he
also shared his experience of being a worker on a cruise ship isn't easy, he said that
one time their head chief shouted at him some bad words. The second speaker is the
front office manager of the planta hotel they discussed with us, what's the job of the
front office manager. She said that if you’re in the front office department, all you need
is to have all these characteristics: Need and professional appearance, Communication
skills, Strong interpersonal skills, etc. And I have learned also, the everyday task of the
front office department is the: Pre-arrival, Arriva, Occupancy, Departure. After all the
speakers shared their experiences and discussions about hospitality. We go back to our
perspective room and packed all the stuff because by 12 pm were going to check out.
I conclude that staying at the hotel even for one night, I was so happy to experience
what was inside the hotel, all the staff is kind and accommodating to all their guests.
And I was amazed by all the speakers because they shared their experiences before.
