PROBLEM: THE COMMUNITY WILL LOSE THEIR HOUSES AND LIVELIHOODS.

#1 ACTION: IMPLEMENTATION OF FREE HOUSING

- When the casino is established in the Sitio Mararang people will lose their houses which can lead
to an increase of homeless families. Upon analyzing the data, it shows that 90 out of 100 people
agreed on this implementation which means they are all in favor of this free housing project.
- Implementation of free housing aims to provide a new sustainable and livable relocation site or
free housing. It will provide access to decent and lower the risk of vulnerable families becoming
homeless.
- Free housing can improve the quality of life for individuals and families who may otherwise
struggle to afford safe and comfortable living arrangements.

#2: GENERATE DEMAND FOR A NEW JOB

- Establishing a casino will lead to a high rate of job demand, this will be the chance for people to
get employed with a decent job. The casino will provide the people with jobs to provide them
living, this will serve as their source of living. It will allow people to generate better salaries to
finance their basic needs.
- Since most of the livelihoods in Sitio Mararang are farming, the company will provide suitable
jobs for the people, jobs that they can easily catch up with since only half of the people reached
college level. This program aims to generate workers which will be taken into the community of
Sitio Mararang this will be opening for new opportunities and a new source of living.

#3: OFFERING PEOPLE TRAINING TO LEARN NEW SKILLS TO GAIN BETTER

EMPLOYMENT

- Offering people training to learn new skills to have better employment.

- Based on the data provided it shows that 19 out of 100 are skillful to do flexible jobs the rest has
not had enough skills to engage in different kinds of work.
- Offering the people of Sitio Mararang training to learn new skills is an advantage for both parties
because the company can hire the people of Sitio Mararang so they can be efficient in doing their
jobs and so the company will not get a hard time finding their human resource. This program
aims to provide training to those people who are not skillful enough to engage in better
employment this will serve as an opener to a brighter and wider job opportunity.
- Implementing a training program for the community to be able to have enough knowledge and
competitive skills enhancement. This training program will allow them to acquire skills and can
execute a lot of work, which will lead to better work positions and opportunities.

ACTION PLAN #1: IMPLEMENTATION OF FREE HOUSING

- The implementation of free housing will resolve the problem by giving people free and decent
shelter. This project aims to provide sustainable life where people can do their living. By
implementing this project people will be able to spend and go beyond their bare necessities.
The community could also partner with local organizations to provide social services such as
healthcare, education, and childcare, which can help improve the overall quality of life for the
residents. Moreover, the community could develop a program to provide job training and
entrepreneurial opportunities for the residents. This could include small business loans,
vocational training, and mentorship programs. Promoting economic growth and self-sufficiency,
helps residents achieve financial stability and independence, which in turn could lead to long-
term success for the community as a whole. Improving the quality of life: Providing free housing
can improve the quality of life for individuals and families who may otherwise struggle to afford
safe and comfortable living arrangements. This can have positive impacts on health, well-being,
and overall quality of life, which can in turn boost productivity and engagement. By
implementing the free housing project people of Sitio Mararang will not be hindered by the
upcoming implementation of the casino.The project can move forward, and this project can boost
the city`s economy which can create more jobs for the people. A healthy community is a healthy
economy.
