Introduction

1. Why study Rizal’s Life and Works?


We need to study the life and works of Rizal because it is argued that Jose Rizal made significant
contributions to the county which is only suited that students and all citizens should learn about
the ideologies which Rizal gave his life for. Also, this will help me to build a good foundation of
nationalism and a clear insight into how it feels to appreciate my country and the people who live
in it.

2. What is the significance to your course?


Rizal’s Life and Works are significant to my course since as a student of accounting, I consider
Rizal as a role model for how to give your country the best possible service through my area of
specialization. Also studying the life and work of Rizal will help me understand what it means to
be a hero from my individual perspective.

3. What is Republic Act no. 1425?


The Republic Act no. 1425 which states it demands that the work, writings, and life of Rizal will
be taught in schools. Also, the objectives of the Rizal Law of 1956 are the following: First is to
honor the national hero for dedicating his life’s effort to develop the character of the Filipino
people. Second is to inspire students to conduct their life in service of patriotism and freedom.
Third is to learn about the writings, work, and life of Rizal to find a motivating foundation for
nationalism.
