Green vs Blue Color Fiber Optics Connectors

Never get mixed up between green connector and blue connectors

Both are the same type of  Singlemode.

The difference is simply at the tip of the fiber optics ferrule.

The green connector is called APC (Angled Physical Contact) and the
blue connector represents PC (Physical Contact).

The difference between green (APC) and blue connector (PC) ferrule
is best illustrated in the below diagram.

Angle polished contact connector should only be mated to another APC

connector.

Mating a APC connectors to another non-APC connectors causes a very

high insertion loss as shown in the below diagrams.
