UNIT 8: NEW WAYS TO LEARN
LISTENING SKILL
I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge
- Know how to prepare for a blended learning class.
- Gain an overview about the topic Blended-learning class
- Memorize vocabulary to talk about blended learning.
2. Competences
- Listen for gists and specific information.
- Improve analytical skills.
- Collaborate with others through pairwork and groupwork.
- Actively join in class activities.
3. Attributes:
- Be aware of blended learning and its importance.
- Know more about how to choose suitable ways to learn.
- Familiarize yourself with blended-learning classes and identify the differences
between traditional and blended-learning classes.
- Develop self-study skills.
II. Teaching and learning aids:
- Teacher’s aids: Student’s book and Teacher’s book, digital book, audio, projector /
interactive whiteboard /TV (if any), PowerPoint slides, handouts, realia.
- Students’ aids: Student’s book, Workbook, Notebook.
