Learning Activity 10: Essay (45 points). Make at least one paragraph for every question
with minimum of 5 sentences and maximum of 10 sentences.

1. Discuss how economy and education are related? 10 pts

-The economic system and its development is essentially connected with the educational system,
because knowledge is the basis of any economic system. To achieve closer cooperation between this
two systems management is necessary to meaningfully connect them. The above connection can be
achieved in a way to give coherent answers to the classic questions of economic organization: what,
how and for whom to produce and educate.

2. Why is the family considered the basic unit of the society? 10pts
How important is family in building a strong and productive nation ?

-It is our family that teaches us the social norms, manners, and the way of life for the first time. Family fulfills our basic
needs such as food, cloth, shelter, etc. It ensures love and security for all the members of the family. It is from the family
that we start making social relationships, develop and retain such relations. That is why the family is said to be the basic
unit of society.

- Strong families have open lines of communication -- where all family members feel heard and respected. One
of the best ways to strengthen your family is to increase your listening skills and those of other family members.
Until we can hear each other, we cannot build strong relationships.

3. Philippines is considered a very religious nation. How come most Filipinos are corrupt, especially
those in the government service, and many citizens lack discipline, unfavourable character and values?

4. Do you agree that the poor people, who are being used by the politicians, and the common people,
who lack true knowledge of the political and socio-economic status of the Philippines
are part of the cycle of corruption and problems in the Philippines?
