FADE IN:

ROAD - NIGHT
Durga(13) is walks out from the bus and walks to the streets, after walking
few houses, stands and is about to break down, she kneels down. Some people
are cooking at the cart and some are carrying weights from the bus to the
taxi. 
[Need some dialogues of peoples] 
OFF VOICE
K farak cha mero awaz yaha ra ma ayeako thau ko?
Maile tekeko prithivi yaha ra tyha. Ma ahile ko
ra pahila ko. 
Durga is thirsty. She looks at the people selling mineral water. 
WATER SELLER
Pandhra rupiya. Lishyo na hajur. 
Durga walks to the water seller and pass by him. 

JUNGLE - MONTAGES
Thirteen years old DURGA is cooking for Maoist. She drinks water from small
water source. 
Durga is carrying utensils and other luggage with other kids and MADHU, 20
years old Maoist.
MADHU
Comrade.. ka kaslai kavita nibhanda athawa katha
lekhna aucha?
DURGA
Malai geet gauna aucha. 
MADHU
La sunau ta. 
Durga is shy to sing in front of everybody. She continues to walk. 
Maoist are doing training.
Maoist giving speeches about changes that will happen after overthrowing
current rulers.

PRINCIPAL HOUSE - NIGHT

Few armed PLA (Peoples Liberation Army) are standing at the door. SARASWATI
is terrified. 
PRINCIPAL
Na dara. Ma ai halchu ni. 
Principal and his son are abducted by Maoist. 
Saraswati and her younger daughter keeps following them.

SCHOOL - DAY
School is at normal day. Commander is looking up the school. Maoist are
preparing for their cultural programme.

SCHOOL - NIGHT
Durga, is at her periods for first time. She isn't scared of blood she
forcefully snatched from innocent peoples, armies, police and evil peoples
but got really scary with her mensural blood. She is sitting at the corner.
Her rifle is at couple of feet away. 
Counter attack between Maoist and armies is scaring MADHU, twenty years old
Durga's comrade. Madhu is shooting towards armies from 2nd floor of the old
house. 
MADHU
Durga.. Durga.
Durga is feeling catastrophe. Madhu throws rifle to Durga.
MADHU
Hosh ma aaija comrade. 
Durga stares at the rifle. Madhu becomes hopeless and stops firing. He
moves to safer corner and lies beside two of his dead comrades. 
Durga takes the rifle from her uneasy posture. One grenade is thrown inside
the room. Room collapses after grenade explosion. They all fell into first
floor. Madhu becomes unconscious. Durga sees her teacher tied and about to
die. Durga becomes numb. 
Some armies are checking if there are any survivers from Maoist. 
DYING COMRADE
Yaslai mardi hal. Durga.
Durga is scared.
DURGA
Guru ama ho mero. Ma bata hunna.
Madhu wakes and helps teacher to sit in safe place. One dying comrade leans
towards teacher. 
Dying comrade shoots teacher. 
Armies becomes alert and starts to fire again. Dying comrade leans outside.
Durga is crying in front of teacher. Madhu looks at diverted armies
focusing on dying comrade. He quickly pulls Durga and runs from backside.
They ran like fastest human on earth. 

JUNGLE - LATER
Madhu and Durga are sliding on the slope. Durga rests on flat surface.
MADHU
Jati saas yaha basera lincham tyati nai mrityu ko
najik huncham hami.
Durga is less scared than before.
DURGA
Bistarai jaam hai.
MADHU
Ekai chin lai.
Madhu sees her blood.
MADHU
Goli lageko ho talai Durga? K ko ragat ho?
Durga feels awkward to say and keeps her silence.
MADHU
Hami kura matra garna ayeaka thiyau.
They walks silent for few moments.
MADHU
Aba kudna parcha. 
Madhu starts to run and after few seconds, Durga too runs.

BANK OF RIVER - LATER

Few Maoist are waiting for them with few bicycles at other side of river. 
They crosses the river. Durga washes her blood while crossing. 

DIGGING PLACE - EARLY MORNING

Durga is digging hole and watches Madhu giving water to another teacher who
is tied at the tree and is injured due to beatings. 
Unwillingly Madhu shoots at the teacher without looking at him.
TEACHER'S SON
Baba. Na maar mero baba lai. 
Madhu opens his eyes if he is dead and Durga closes her eyes and continue
to dig. 

CAMP - EVENING
Everyone are eating, singing folk songs. Madhu looks at Durga's blood
stain. Goes near to her.
COMRADE1

Head master ko srimati chai kasari bachya hola
hai.
COMRADE2
Bichara.. manche namari ni kranti garna na
sakine. 
COMRADE1
Sab sidhanta ho. Kati paya kalam le na lekheko
chij barud le lekhcha.
MADHU
Talai k bhako cha? K bhayo?
Durga keeps her silence and slowly nods her head saying nothing.
MADHU
K ko ragat lageko tero pachadi?
Durga feels uncomfortable and walks from there. 
Madhu follows her.
DURGA
Malai eklai chod hai ta.
MADHU
Talai k bhako cha maile thaha paye. Ali para hid
ta ma bhanchu talai k bhako bhanera.
Durga stops and looks at him. Madhu pulls Durga's hand and takes her a bit
far from there. 
MADHU
Aba ta bacha rahenas. Aimai bhaies.
Durga tries to get rid of Madhu. Madhu doesn't let her go and puts his head
band inside Durga's mouth and pushes her. 
MADHU
Halla na gar. Natra ma talai mardinchu. Bujhis.
Durga cries. Madhu relaxes.
MADHU
Kehi hunna Durga. Na dara.

CAMP - EVENING
Few men are dragging teacher's son dead body. 
Madhu goes near to Durga. 
MADHU
Kasai lai kehi na bhan hai durga.
COMRADE1
Oi. Yata aija na haat de. 
Madhu goes to them.
Durga slowly walks and runs from there. When other comrade tried to go
after her, Madhu stops them. 
COMRADE3
Kina bhageki durga. Farki comrade.
Another comrade hit Madhu from back and they starts to beat them. 

HOUSE - NIGHT 
Commander finds blood stained uniform of Durga. 

BUS - NIGHT
Durga is wearing man's dress with traditional Nepali cap DHAKA TOPI hiding
her hair. 
A little hair comes out of the cap. One man stares at her. She notices hair
coming out and put it inside.
Bus stops at army check post. 
DRIVER
La hai sabai sanga uta pari bhet hola. 
Everyone comes out of the bus. 
 DRIVER
Fata fat aaunu hola hai. Katai na almal gari.
Army are watching each and every passengers. Durga is scared and passes
through army officers. 
Army officers checks the bus and belongings of passengers. 
Everyone gets inside the bus. 

CITY STREETS - DAY

Lots of peoples are protesting for Republic State of Nepal. 

INTERVIEW - JUNGLE
Interview of Maoist leader.

DURGA HOUSE - DAY

Looks like abandoned and dumping site for lots of months. Durga is looks up
the house. She finds decayed cattles left there for months. She buries it.
She sees one woman throwing wastes there. 
WOMAN
Sab kura thahas nahas garera k khana farkeki
yaha. 
Woman spits on the compound and leaves from there.
Durga finds some edible and packs it along side with her mother's clothes.

VILLAGE ROAD - DAY

She walks to the ticket counter. Buys bus ticket to city. 
While waiting inside bus, one man doesn't wants to sit next to her. 
MAN
Yasto khate sanga basdina hai bhai. Malai arkai
seat milai deu. 
CONDUCTOR
Pakhnu na ahile. Milayera basnu na.
MAN
Fohor ko dungur ma ni milayera basnu ra?
Kathmandu bhanda ni fohor dekhincha. 
Man waits outside. Durga is tolerating everything. Keeps her cool. 
 CONDUCTOR
Hya dai. Aba bus ma aune haru khaile kasto khaile
kasto ta bhai halcha ni. Milayera basnu na. 
MAN
Ticket ko paisa firta deu arko ma janchu.
Conductor ignores him and helps other passengers to get into the bus. 
MAN
Hyaa.
Bus is moving. Man is trying to sleep on the stool near the bus door. Durga
is alone looking outside the window. 

REPORTER HOUSE - NIGHT

REPORTER aged around mid thirties is watering his small garden. 
REPORTER
Pahila afu lai safa gara ani ghar bhitra janu. 
DURGA
Hass.
REPORTER
Ah timi veg hau ki non veg? 
DURGA
Veg hu.
REPORTER
Laa. Garo paryo ta. 
DURGA
Pakauna kehi apthyaro pardaina.
REPORTER
Aee..lala. Ramro bhayo uso bhaye. Aja masu ma
jhol hala hai. Naya project ma kaam pako chu.
DURGA
Hass.
REPORTER
Ani masu freeze mai cha. Timi pakaudai gara ma
alikati daru lyauchu.
DURGA
Hass 
REPORTER
 Timi lai apthyaro ta hunna ni. Ghar ma timi ma
matra hunchau.
DURGA
Kehi apthyaro pardaina.
REPORTER
Kasto sajilo manche timi. La fatafat safa bhayera

Reporter leaves to shop. 

LIQUOR SHOP - EVENING

Reporter takes the whiskey. 
SHOPKEEPER
Aba maobadi le pariwartan lyaucha. Usai lai vote
halne ho.
REPORTER
Bichar gara hai. Desh ko lagam feri aparadhi ko
haat ma pare k hola. 
SHOPKEEPER
Yaha ta dekhiyeako ra na dekhiyeako apradhi haru
chunab ma ladya chan. Tyhi pani Maobadi le kehi
garchan ki.
REPORTER
Ma pani vote ta Maobadi lai nai halne ho. Kehi
garcha ki. 
Reporter sigh and leaves.
SHOPKEEPER
Garcha garcha. Aba desh bancha.
REPORTER
La la dai. Gaye ma.

REPORTER HOUSE - NIGHT

Durga is clean and is about to finish cooking meat. Reporter comes. 
REPORTER
Laa. Maile ta timro lagi sabji nai bhule chu. 
Durga keeps on cooking. Reporter takes few meat from pan and leaves inside
dining room.
REPORTER
 Yaso herera banau na k cha hera ta. 
Reporter prepares drink.
DURGA
Mero chinta na linu j cha herera khanchu. 
REPORTER
Yo pali ma maobadi lai nai vote halne bhaye. Timi
k ma halchau. 
Durga halts and closes her eye. After keeping silence for about a minute
she turns off gas stove.
DURGA
Tyti bela nai sochamla. Ghosana patra bujhna pako
chaina.
Reporter finishes almost half of whiskey. Looks at whiskey and stands.
REPORTER
Timi lai ma tarkari kinera lyai dinchu. Kasto
hola ma pani.
Reporter leaves from there.
DURGA
Pardaina pardaina farkinus uncle. 
Reporter puts new whiskey bottle on the table. 
REPORTER
Ma sadhai khane haina. Naya project paeko ma
khushi bhayera. Sadhai j payo tyhi kura ko
reporting garna parcha. Yo pali ramro kura lekhne
mauka cha. 
Durga is wondering about mushroom. 
Reporter comes inside kitchen. 
REPORTER
Kasto achamma le heri raheko chau. Khako chainau
yo chyau?
Durga looks at Reporter in surprised manner. Reporter drinks water. 

JUNGLE - NIGHT
Army helicopter flies nearby. Few houses are seen. Few Pla are scouting to
enter one house. 
COMMANDER
 Hami sabai jana hudaina. Ambush ni huna sakcha. 
Madhu shakes his head. Everyone disperse except Durga and Madhu. One pla
takes Durga things and walks away. Madhu tries to encourage Durga.
MADHU
Taile gaune geet bhanda sajilo cha. Ta kasari
linchas bhanne kura matra ho. Ta baliyo chas.
Chandra bhanda ni baliyo ani surya bhanda ago. 
Madhu gives her khukuri. 
MADHU
Yini haru nai hun tero bau ama marne. Yini haru
ko suraki le ho.
Durga in rage runs Madhu runs after Durga and catches her.
MADHU
K gareko yasari haina. Biralo ko chal mardai jaa.
Safal bhaienas bhani na yo mauka feri aucha na ta
jyudo hunchas badla lina. 
Madhu watches Durga going slowly. 
Durga knocks the window. One man opens the window. 
MAN
Durga ta po yeti rati. K bhayo? Kina ako ma
faschu aba. Gai hal ta. 
Durga starts to cry and cuts man throat. 
She runs from there. 

REPORTER HOUSE - FLASHBACK ENDS

There is one cooked chicken head left at the table. Reporter helps in
cutting mushroom.
REPORTER 
Aru kehi bhetina. Yo pali maile purai pariwar
bepatta bhayeko euta aimai ko katha follow gardai
chu. Dwanda kaal ma.
Durga feels little traumatic. Reporter sits back to his table.
REPORTER
Yo ramro sanga garna sake bhane mero pahila ko
lok priyata feri aaune cha.
Durga keeps on looking at Reporter eating meat. She runs to toilet and
vomits. 
Reporter comes sober. 
REPORTER
Sancho bhayena. Kati ko garo bhako cha?
DURGA
Haina thik chu. 

ROOM - GARDEN - MORNING

Durga is staring at the door. She looks surprised and seems to find herself
into ambiguous space. Door knocks several times. People who is knocking
must be in hurry or frightened. Durga is scared to knock. 
DURGA
Janna ma ta sanga.
Knocking stops. 
REPORTER
Durga ma kya. K bhayo. Kina atteko?
Durga slowly stands and goes towards the door. 
REPORTER
Na darau kya. Chiya selauna thali sakyo.
Durga unlocks the door.
DURGA
Mero chiya khane bani chaina.
REPORTER
Fresh bhayera garden ma aau hai. 
Reporter feels low about Durga being terrified. 
Durga comes outside. Reporter just finished two cups of tea and is reading
newspaper. Reporter observes Durga, scared remembering what just happened.
She is scared that she just gave some hints on what is she going through. 
REPORTER
Aja ek cup lemon tea hijo ko hangover hatauna ani
ek cup milk tea timi lai tarsauna.
DURGA
Rati na ramro sapana dekheko thiye ani achanak
dhoka bessari dhak dhak garnu bhayo.
REPORTER
Hijo piro dherai bhayo jasto cha ani katakka pet
kati halyo. Timi lai chiya diyera gai halum..
 kasto hattar bhayeako malai.
Durga is wondering what will Reporter do. 
REPORTER
Thinking for while

DURGA
Haina. Thik cha ahile.
REPORTER
Yi mera bacha haru bhanda ni pyaro cha. Biruwa
haru. Sabai ko naam cha. Bistarai parichaya

khanchu. Breakfast banaune kaam ma garchu. Baki

Reporter stands and nods her to follow him. He starts showering plants.
Durga watches it. 
REPORTER

bhayeko bhayera matra ho tyo malai sathi bhanne
na bhaye ta.
DURGA
Ani rasan kirana pasal ko manche ni?
REPORTER
Udharo. Udharo le dubaucha talab time mai na
auda.. timi anda ta khanchau haina?
DURGA
Nai. 
REPORTER
Ek dum gazzab.. aja jhukkera anda break fast
banaye chu. Ma papi le. 
Reporter smiles.
REPORTER
Aja chai breakfast ni banau na hai. Haina haina.
Ma kehi magauchu hotel bata. Hijo kehi na khai
sutechau. Khas ma ma fone gari hale. 
Reporter dials number.
REPORTER
Aja timi aram garnu. Bholi dekhi kaam garda ni

Durga stands still and doesn't feel important to reply his conversation.
Reporter folds newspaper. Sees Durga not moving and not breathing.

Durga takes long breath.
DURGA
Hass. Ma bhanchu kehi bhayo bhane. 
Durga sees Reporter going to office on his scooter. 
REPORTER
Bye durga. 

PRESS - LATER
Reporter is doing his regular work. Takes the file looks at woman who is
waiting for Reporter.
REPORTER
Chunab ko mahol cha. Antai katai tapai lai sajilo
hune thau ma kura garau na hai.
Woman gives him sad looks.

ROAD - DAY
Reporter is riding his scooter. Woman is sitting behind him. 
WOMAN
Merai dera jaau na. Malai tyha matra saas fereko
anubhuti huncha.

WOMAN ROOM - DAY

Woman is preparing tea. 
WOMAN
Malai ta aba kehi aash chaina. Mero chora.
Sriman. 
 REPORTER
Kati barsha uha principal hunu bhayo?
WOMAN
School padauna thaleko 18 barsha pachi ho uha 7

Woman looks strong and confident but suddenly looses her coolness and
breaks down. She starts to cry and tea cups breaks on the floor. 
Reporter quickly responses and handles woman. 
REPORTER

Reporter makes her sit. 
REPORTER

Reporter makes tea.
REPORTER

Reporter cleans the broken cup. Woman continue to make tea. 
WOMAN
Haina. Feri satahi rup ma mero pida aayo bhane ma

REPORTER

ani bistarai lekhchu. 
Reporter takes remaining small piece of glass piece and puts it into the
dustbin.
WOMAN
Mero pariwar lai saas hawa ma bilaye jhai bilauna
dinna. Jasari uni haru le ek arka mathi bomb
fode. Tysari nai bisfot huna parcha.
REPORTER
Dherai le padne chan tapai ko pida. Tara dherai
asha chai na garnu ni hai. Ma kehi bhanna
sakdina. Tapai le kasto sochnu bhako cha.
Woman is numb and keeps on staring. Tea is boiled. Reporter turns off the
gas. 
Woman doesn't let reporter to do further and pours herself.

REPORTER HOUSE - NIGHT

Drunk Reporter is helping Durga to do house hold works. There is one guest
about to finish his dinner. 
REPORTER
K lekhne k na lekhne. 
Reporter is in grief and confused. Leaves the work incomplete. Goes near to
the balcony and starts to smoke. 
REPORTER
Ghar ma bharkhar bachcha janmieako rahecha. Ajhai
pani aama ko dudh parkhera baseko. Maobadi le
chora ra buda lageka rahechan ani army le samdhi.
Afno buwa khojna gako buhari ajhai chora ko mukh
herna lai farkeki chaina. 
Durga finishes work and takes guest's plates and washes them. 
GUEST
Sabai le tapai lai kina man na paraune rahechan
malai ta ti sab khusket lagyo hai. 
REPORTER
Tyhi ta. 
Reporter is on his bed. 
Durga finishes the cleaning and stands leaning to sink staring at the
window. She is scared. Guest comes out of his room and stares at Durga.
Guest slowly moves towards Durga. Knowing guest intention Durga looks at
him in rage. She keeps on looking at him until he becomes nervous. 

RANDOM - ELECTION SCENARIOS 

Peoples are voting. 
Leaders are cheering. 
Maoist candidate becomes prime minister. 

REPORTER HOUSE - EVENING

Reporter puts down his all files and photos of current reporting. 
REPORTER
Thukka bekar maobadi ma vote halechu. 
Durga is standing outside the door. 
REPORTER
Jagir gayo bhane ta ma timi lai talab dina
sakdina hai.
