Inter-House Photography

Age Categories:
6th - 7th
8th - 10th
11th - 12th

Event Date: 19th April, 2023.

Instructions for Participants:


1. Students will be sent a form link on their respective house teams, where they have to
upload their photo and caption by 10:00 pm on 19th April.
2. The 2 prompts for the event will be announced on the morning of the event.
(approximately 8:15 am). Participants must choose any one prompt.
3. There will be three categories: 6-7, 8-10, and IB. The prompts will be common across
age categories.
4. Students are only allowed to submit ONE photograph. The form can only be
submitted once. This first response will be considered, with no exceptions.
5. Students can take pictures during break or lunch but strictly not during class hours.
6. Only cameras can be used during school hours. No participants will be allowed to use
their phones, iPADs or any other device during school hours. The use of devices other
than cameras will ONLY be allowed at home.
7. Each picture must have a caption relevant to the theme and picture itself.
8. The naming convention for the image will be:
Class_HouseFirstLetter_FirstName_LastName
Eg: 11A_T_Avyayaraj_Arenja
9. No post-editing is allowed (adding filters, changing internal lighting and exposure etc)
- any photographs with editing will be immediately disqualified
10. Photographs and captions strictly cannot be plagiarised.

Technological Aspects:
11. All photographs must be time-stamped. Photographs without a timestamp will be
disqualified.
If using a DSLR or other camera type, enable the option to add a timestamp.
If using an iPhone (AT HOME), use the app ‘Timestamp Camera Basic’ which is
free to download from the App Store (enable all permissions, you must take photos
using this app itself. It does not compromise on quality).
If using an Android, use ‘Timestamp Camera Free’ which is free to download from
the Play Store (enable all permissions, you must take photos using this app itself. It
does not compromise on quality)
iPhones: Android:

12. All photos must be submitted in either JPG or PNG format. No other file types such
as RAW will be accepted. If your photo is not in the correct form, use an online
converter such as https://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-jpg.

Judging Criteria:

Instructions for House Captains (only):


1. The deadline will be set for 10:00 pm on the 19th of April, hence please ensure that
your participants adhere to that strictly.
2. Ensure that participants are not missing class time to take their photographs, it must
be in their own time on the day of the competition (19th of April, 2023) itself.
3. It is the responsibility of the House Captains to ensure that participants are aware
about the themes after they have been communicated on the House Teams by Core.
House Captains can use WhatsApp Chats to reiterate the prompts to participants.
