VIII. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The “Linis Ligtas A project for promoting cleanliness and proper hygiene in
campus and homes " project aims to promote cleanliness and hygiene in schools and
homes across the Philippines by providing participants with the knowledge and tools
they need to maintain a clean and safe environment. The project will consist of a
series of workshops, training sessions, and home visits that will cover topics such as
cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, laundry and dishwashing practices, waste
management using the 4Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover) approach, and
personal hygiene practices.
Participants will also receive cleaning supplies and tools to assist them in
implementing what they have learned, such as vinegar, baking soda, and reusable
cloths. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene is essential in preventing the spread of
infectious diseases, particularly in schools and households. However, not everyone
has access to the resources and knowledge needed to maintain a clean and healthy
environment. This project aims to address this issue by providing education and
resources to underserved communities in the Philippines.
This project seeks to address these gaps by providing participants with the
knowledge and tools they need to maintain a clean and safe environment in their
homes and schools. By promoting good proper hygiene practices, beautification and
waste management, the project aims to reduce the incidence of communicable
diseases and promote general well-being. The project also recognizes the need to
involve local communities in the implementation and sustainability of the project, which
will help create a sense of ownership and responsibility towards maintaining a clean
and safe environment.
