What molecule provides living things with the instructions for

life? Where is that molecule found? Why is it found there?

For a pathogen, such as a virus, intent on attacking that
molecule inside a single celled organism, what barriers would
impede its path. List them in order (ie. From the outside in).
What levels of defense would you add if the pathogen is of a
plant?
The DNA molecule provides living things with the instructions for
life, this molecule is found in the nucleus of a cell and it is found
here because the nucleus has all that is needed for DNA to replicate
protects the DNA. without the nucleus to protect the DNA, it would
be exposed to the cytoplasm which would destroy it (digestion).
Barriers that would impede a pathogen such as a virus attacking a
single celled organism would be:
- Plasma membrane (or cell membrane)
- Cytoplasm
- Nucleus
If the pathogen is of a plant, additional protection would be the
epidermis or skin on the plant.
