Due to the Corona Virus outbreak, nowadays all institutions have switched to

the online learning system. Thanks to the improvements of the technology, we

haven’t fall behind in terms of learning process. We keep going ahead despite of
many difficulties. In this video, I am going to talk about advantages and
disadvantages of online classes.
One of the advantages of online class is that it is convenient to students and
teachers. As long as you have a gadget and internet connection, it doesn’t matter in
which part of the world you are, students can access information from anywhere,
anytime. It is also flexible. It allows students to study at their own pace, learn the
materials and complete their assignments at their own schedule. It is also cost
effective. You don’t need to spare a budget for travel expenses and even buy
uniforms and other school supplies.
However, apart from these numerous advantages, I would still prefer to be in a
face-to-face learning. Some people just like me need personal contact with our
teachers to learn successfully. Online classes lack the enthusiasm kind of
environment which is present in an actual classroom which can lead to lose
concentration during discussion.
At school, students learn how to make friends, be patient, get rid of
disappointment, and especially to compete. Competition between colleagues can be
very stimulating and students will benefit from it. Online learning cannot offer
human interaction.
In conclusion, online learning should be seen as a complement and extension
of classical forms of learning. Because no matter how hard we try to fully transfer
human communications to online platforms; no matter how natural it seems to form
relationships behind computer screens, a virtual environment is just not human. It
cannot fully replace the personal contact with a teacher, or the human relationships
that develop in a group. So, traditional classes shouldn’t be replaced with online
learning.
