CONCLUSION

JIO lies in the Aggressive Category

POSSIBLE STRATEGIES

Aggressive 5G penetration and magnifying

reliance on Jio ecosystem (Jiomart, Jio
devices, Ajio, Jio super App)
Product Development into IOT devices, AR-
VR Devices, 5G Handsets
Diversification into Web 3.0 and Industry 4.0
Startegy Selection using QSPM

Given the relevant identified external and internal factors, all the three strategies suggested
by SPACE Matrix were analysed in QSPM.

Total Attractiveness Score observed was highest for startegy focusing on product
developement, at 5.60

TAS for startegy Aggressive 5G penetration and magnifying reliance on Jio ecosystem was
5.55 and for Diversification into Web 3.0 and Industry 4.0, TAS was 5.50

Higher the Value of score, more attractive strategic alternative is, hence it is recommended
to take aggressive position by focusing on product developement into IOT devices, AR-VR
Devices, 5G Handsets
Current Strategy & Recommendations
Current Strategy

Currently, Jio is deploying the latest version of 5G called the stand-alone 5G which will have zero
dependency on the existing 4G network
This will allow Jio to provide new services like low latency connectivity, massive machine-to-
machine communication, 5G voice and metaverse
Jio 5G will offer ultra-high-speed fixed-broadband called JioAirFiber
Jio has adopted a strategy which is targeting the bottom of the pyramid

Recommendations

With the planned pan India rollout of 5G service by 2023, Jio has laid the groundwork for further
development of products and services which require uninterrupted zero latency networks
Further,on the basis of the analysis done on the key strategic factors, we recommend that Jio
takes an aggressive approach in developing IoT, AR-VR, 5G handset devices
