ORDER
Considering the impact of Covid pandemic, the minimum credit requirement for promotion of students
to higher semesters, for all UG and PG programmes, were waived for the academic years 2020-
21 and 2021-22, as per the resolution of the Academic Council. Numerous requests were received
from colleges and students to waive the minimum credit requirement for promotion/registration to higher
semesters, for various UG/PG programmes for the academic year 2022-23, explaining the strain of
students to tide over the post covid trauma.
The matter was placed for discussion in the combined meeting of the Syndicate Standing
Committee on Academic and Research and Syndicate Standing Committee on Examinations. After
considering all the aspects associated, the combined meeting of Syndicate Standing Committees
recommended to waive the Credit barrier restriction, for the academic year 2022-23.
Vide paer read above, the 37th meeting of the Syndicate resolved to approve the recommendations of
the combined meeting of the Syndicate Standing Committee of Academics & Research and
Examinations, to waive minimum credit requirement for registration to higher semesters of various UG
& PG programmes of the University for the academic year 2022-23.
Sanction has been accorded by the Vice Chancellor to implement the resolution of the Syndicate,
subject to ratification by the Academic Council and reporting to the Board of Governors. Accordingly the
requirement of minimum credit for registration to higher semesters of various UG and PG programmes of
the University has been waived for the academic year 2022-23.
Orders are issued accordingly.
