ORDER

Vide paper read as 1 and 2 above various requests were received to revise the formula for
CGPA to Percentage conversion for the M. Tech 2015 scheme.

As per the M. Tech 2015 Regulation the CGPA to Percentage conversion formula for the
M. Tech 2015 scheme was fixed as 10* CGPA - 3.75. The University issued orders for
modifying the CGPA to Percentage conversion format for the B. Tech 2015 scheme and
the B. Tech 2019 Scheme as 10* CGPA. In light of the above M. Tech students of the
2015 scheme also requested to revise the formula for CGPA to Percentage conversion
for the M. Tech 2015 scheme.

The matter of revising the formula for CGPA to Percentage conversion for the M. Tech
2015 scheme as CGPA*10 was placed before the Syndicate Standing Committee on
Academic and Research for consideration. The Syndicate Standing Committee on
Academic and Research recommended that the CGPA to Percentage conversion formula
for all UG and PG programs of all schemes of the University shall be changed as
Equivalent Overall Percentage = 10 * CGPA. Such revised conversion certificates may be
issued in the "Other Certificate" format of the Umiversity, based on the request of the
students.
The recommendations of the Syndicate Standing Committee on Academic and Research
were placed before the Syndicate. Vide paper read as 3 above the Syndicate in its 51st
meeting resolved to approve the recommendations of the Syndicate Standing Committee
on Academic and Research that the CGPA to Percentage conversion formula for all UG
and PG programs of all schemes of the University be changed as Equivalent Overall
Percentage = 10 * CGPA and further resolved to issue revised conversion certificate in
the "Other Certificate" format of the University, based on the requests of the students.

Sanction is accorded by the Vice Chancellor to implement the resolution of

the Syndicate that the CGPA to Percentage conversion formula for all UG and PG
programs of all schemes of the University be changed as Equivalent Overall
Percentage = 10 * CGPA and to issue the revised conversion certificate in the "Other
Certificate" format of the University. The matter will be reported to the Board of
Governors in its next meeting.

Orders are issued accordingly.
