RESOLUTION TO INCLUDE THE GULAYAN SA PAMAYANAN PROJECT

IN BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT PLAN PROVIDING THE BARANGAY
WITH A ROADMAP TO THE VISION’S OF MAGNIFICENT MANILA.

WHEREAS, Section 16 of Republic Act No. 71060 otherwise known as the

Local Government Code of 1991 encourages the attainment of the general
welfare of the local government units;

WHEREAS, R.A. 9003 or otherwise known as the Ecological Waste

Management Act providing for an Ecological Solid Waste Management
Program, creating the Necessary Institution Mechanism adopts a systematic,
comprehensive, and ecological solid waste management programmed that
recognises the LGUs as the leader in its implementation,

WHEREAS, the City of Manila Comprehensive Development Plan 2030

envisions “A World Class Capital City of rich heritage, distinct character and
diverse hubs of knowledge with the capable and committed people putting
God first in forging partnerships to harness these urban assets for green,
resilient, inclusive, smart and sustainable development, linking the nation to
the world and inspiring the hopes of the Fiilipino people, otherwise known as
Magnificent Manila.

WHEREAS, Gulayan sa Pamayanan is a Vertical Farming Project of Barangay

434 Zone 44 with partnership Department of Environment and Natural
Resources to promote greenery in the urban area and sustainable resources
of vegetables.

NOW THEREFORE on motion of Hon. Lani Viado, Member of BDC duly

seconded by Hon. Christopher Orberta, Member of BDC, BE IT RESOLVED AS
IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Barangay Development Council of Barangay
434 Zone 44 District IV, Manila to Include the Gulayan sa Pamayanan
Project of Barangay 434 Zone 44 in Barangay Development Plan providing
the Barangay with roadmap to the Vision of Magnificent Manila.
