AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
There are three primary utility providers that supply electrical power in Ras Al Khaimah. They are the
Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA), Utico and Al Ghail Power LLC. Below is a simple step-by-
step guide designed to walk you through the process of connecting your electricity through the power
provider that fits your needs.

APPOINT A FEWA-LICENSED CONSULTANT

1 Your first step is to appoint
a consultant from a list of
FEWA-authorised consultants.
Your consultant will prepare
the following:
1. Drawings for lighting
2. Power layout
3. Calculation of load
4. Single line diagram
5. Setting layout plan

OBTAIN APPROVALS ON THE DRAWINGS

2 Once the drawings are prepared, your consultant will submit the drafts to RAK FTZ for
preliminary approval. After RAK FTZ’s approval, your consultant will submit the drawings
to FEWA for the final approval.

INSTALL ELECTRICAL WIRING

3 After the final approval on the drawings has been obtained, your contractor can begin
installing the electrical wiring and complete a RAK FTZ electrical connection form.
