2. Personal questions
In this section, you HAVE TO choose 1 of the two questions below, explain it from
your personal perspective and justify it:

1. This story is about a fight to achieve what they really wish, no matter the effort
they have to make. In your case, in order to fight for what you want or believe,
what would you be capable of doing?
2. This story talks about two different races living in the same territory. So, do
new/foreign people ever come to your country (say what your country is and
the origin of these people)? What advice would you give to these new/foreign
people? → Give 3 or 4 recommendations using: must (not), should (not), should try
to (try not to).
*3. History & general knowledge questions (optional)
In this section, you CAN choose 1 of the two questions below, find information
about it and explain your answers by giving examples:

1. In this story we know that the Aborigines were the first people in Australia, the
Europeans arrived later. Find examples of other countries where this situation
happened as well, and explain what the situation was like for the Aborigines.
(For your search, use the keywords: colonialism, suffering from native peoples, etc.)
2. Nowadays, how are aboriginal people treated by their governments? Can you
find any examples where Aborigines are respected and/or form part of their
current society, not excluded or used as slaves (e.g. forming part of the
governments of their countries).
Task
Individually/In pairs, prepare an oral presentation about the Reader Rabbit-Proof
Fence that we’ve read:

● Answer the questions about the different categories (indicated on each slide):
○ Sections 1 and 2: obligatory.
○ Section 3: optional.
● Possible formats:
○ A video where you appear explaining the questions without a digital presentation.
○ A video of a digital presentation + voice-over (if you don’t want your face to appear on the video).
■ You should add images, text, emoticons in your video to make it more visual.
● Duration: 2-4 minutes.
