The 2022/2023 Coppa Italia final brought together Fiorentina vs Inter at the Stadio Olimpico, Thursday
(25/6/2023). Fiorentina appeared pressing at the start of the game.

Goal!!! As a result they were able to take the lead when the game had only been running for three
minutes. Jonathan Icone, who moved from the left side, released the bait at the far post.

Jolted by Fiorentina's quick goal, Inter tried to get up. In the 7th minute, Edin Dzeko caught Denzel

Dzeko wasted a golden opportunity in the 24th minute. He was released after receiving a pass from
Lautaro Martinez. His kick just missed the target even though he was only dealing with Pietro
Terracciano.

Goal!!! Inter were finally able to equalize in the 29th minute. Marcelo Brozovic accurately released the
bait to Lautaro who was guarded. A horizontal shot from the right side of the penalty box nestled into La
Viola's goal.

Goal!!! Lautaro scored his second goal in the 36th minute. Nicolo Barella's cross was struck by Lautaro
with a measured volley which resulted in a goal.

Inter returned to lead 2-1. This score lasted until halftime.

After the break, the game was interesting. The two teams are buying and selling attacks,
Christian Biraghi tries to threaten from a free kick. His efforts but still widened.

Romelu Lukaku had a chance in the 67th minute. He won a duel with the Fiorentina players before
releasing a hard kick from the edge of the penalty box. Terracciano but still alert to secure the ball.

Nico Gonzalez responded moments later. He opened fire from a tight angle. Handanovic managed to
block his shot.

In the 79th minute, Handanovic made a brilliant save from a golden opportunity for Luka Jovic. Jovic was
able to outwit Matteo Darmian and then fired hard. Handanovic neatly managed to ward off the ball.

Jovic had another chance three minutes later. This time, his header to welcome Dodo's cross was still
wide.

Fiorentina put pressure on in stoppage time in search of an equaliser. Nico Gonzales in action in the 84th
minute.

He can get past two Inter players on the left. The shot can be blocked. He was then still able to grab a
loose ball ahead of Handanovic, who made an ambush.

Inter are still safe from conceding. Darmian became a hero after being able to throw the ball across the
goal line.

The Nerazzurri were able to withstand the onslaught of The Unggul until the match was over. Win 2-1,
Inter win the Coppa Italia.
