torque at a rated speed, and
a gradual decrease in torque
as the speed increases
above this point. This is due
to the fact that the rotor
speed lags behind the
rotating magnetic field,
resulting in a reduction in
torque production as the
speed increases.
Why the velocity in a linear induction motor decrease
rapidly with increasing thrust force?
This is because the amount of variation in the magnetic
flux in the aluminum sheet is reduced as the variation in
the magnetic field generated by the coil reaches a
synchronous speed. For this reason the linear induction
motor often operate at low slip, resulting a relatively low
efficiency.

Why linear induction motor often operate at high slip,

resulting a relatively low efficiency?
the slip increases, and the power losses due to eddy
currents and hysteresis can become significant, leading to
lower efficiency. So induction motor often operate at high
slip to get high efficiency.
