1. WHAT ARE THE NEEDS OF EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO
MASLOW’S. There are some needs that are cited from the hierarchy of need of Abraham Maslow. It was form as a pyramid to clearly classified the basic need and higher need of every person. According to Maslow people are more often satisfied from their basic need before they want to feel the higher need. First from the diagram as shown in the hierarchy of need is survival are the important need of a person it includes having enough energy , water clothes and shelter. Second from the list is safety or being safe and secure from the danger. Third is love and belonging receiving love and affection as being accepted by family , friend and family. Second to the last is Esteem as having confidence in oneself. Lastly the self actualization as realizing one’s potential through personal growth and developing one’s talent. 2. Give example for each needs. One of the example in survival from hierarchy of needs is food, clothes shelter and clothing. Law and order, health , security and shelter are some of the example of need in Safety. Example of Love and belonging is intimacy , trust , giving affection and acceptance. Some example of Esteem are athletic or team participation, personal hobbies academic accomplishment. Finding humor in a given situation are example of Self actualization. 3. What could be the implication of Maslow Hierarchy of need in the needs in the daily life? It is important as a human beings to achieve every part of the hierarchy because it will help to develop its own personalities. And also on the first part of the hierarchy it includes clothes and food to achieved the survival part. For example is someone are naked in public he will not gain self esteem because of his situation. It is important to achieve the first part of the hierarchy before proceeding to the fourth part. Until now I am still encountering the survival part , although we eat regularly and have clothes but there are some times that I was ashamed of myself because of the clothes I used especially when my shirt was ripped in public. And also self-actualization was the crucial part problem I encountered at home especially in this pandemic. The impact of covid19 pandemic from me hits my self-actualization because in this past year we experienced a lot of things that we cannot do because of we may be infected if we go outside. 5. As a member of family, what can you do in order to help each members to fully realize their potentials. As a student I can help my family member to fully realize their potentials by the way expressing them the love and belongingness because it will help a lot to boost their confidence and self esteem. 1. What are the different stages in family cycle ? The different stages in family cycle are newly married, early parenthood, later parenthood , empty nest and retirement. 2. Why do think it is called cycle? One of the reason it is called cycle is because it may be repeated. When a partner is a newly married they will have a chance to blessed with a child and that child when the times goes on and hi will repeat that cycle. 3. In your family, in what stage are you in? In my family I was on the part that I am in empty-nest because all of my siblings are having their own family and some are finding their career in life. 4. Although the model was based on American family life, do you think we also share the same life cycle? No, in my own point of view Filipinos has a different cycle from the American family life because some of Filipino now a days has a increasing number of people who get pregnant at the young age and they some don’t have a chance to build a strong foundation for their own family , some are leading to break up. 5. If you are to add or modify some of the stages in order to fit a Filipino family, what would be and why? If I were given a chance to add some stages to in the Filipino family is to have a strong foundation before having a family because nowadays are now facing broken family it is because some instances is they are not ready to engage in a relationship and a weak foundation may affect the family.
